The Way It Burns - BbangNyu

World Overview

Long ago, the lost wanderers, could bask in the mythical dream land that encroached every corner of this world. From the tiny burrows of woodland sprites, to the large cushiony cloud castles of the angels. They could even stumble into the dark realm of the demons, if they were to be so unlucky. This world, was truly something to be marveled.

But, as previously stated, this was long ago.

Now the world was a much different place, with creatures living side by side. Trading their burrows for suburban houses, their castles for penthouses, and their dark realms for city lofts. This was a new age; the past being left far behind. 

Our story is set in the city of 'Pure Sky', the largest city in the whole of freeland. Here they claim for everything to be just, and right. 

Run mainly by the angels, these pure hearted creatures only wish for the best in everyone, using this as their motive to rule. The majority in the top 1%, living the wealthiest lives. Every governing official was an angel, and it had been that way for centuries.  They strived for perfection, valuing purity over everything else. 

Angels can only earn their halo, when their parents deem them worthy. If a child turns out 'unpure', most parents will disown them, forcing them into a life of dispare. For an angel, without the protection of their own kind, it can be rough. There are many evil creatures who route for the downfall of the angels, leaving those who get disowned, vulnerable and easy targets.

On the complete other side of the spectrum, are Demons. The majority in the bottom 1%, living miserable lives. They are stigmatized as criminals, and low lives, just because of their origins. Demons were forged from darkness, making them the most 'unpure' creatures in the eyes of the angels. Even their touch burns an angels skin, leaving marks that last for days. 

Yes, this was the world as it is now.

A world that had ample room for forbidden love.
