"Is that story actually real? I've never been told it before." Chanhee said, unable to control his racing heart beat. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, if the story was true, than everything he had ever been told would have been a lie.

"It's up to you to believe, there's only one way of proving it, and that is simply impossible." Mama Kim replied. "Though, something about you, makes me think that may not be as impossible as I once thought."

Chanhee cocked his head, confused by what the demon said. "What do you mean by that?" He asked.

Glancing at the angel, Mama Kim got up, leaving the room for a minute. When she returned she had in her hand an old, tattered book, that he handed straight to Chanhee. "This is 'The book of forbidden love', written by Ignatius himself. It's been passed down in my family for generations, documenting the story of Lucilla and Domitia."

Chanhee ran his hand along the brown cover, feeling the rugged leather that bound the book. He flipped open to the first page, not being able to understand much, since it was written in old English. "How did you get this? and what's it got to do with me?" He questioned, staring idly at Mama Kim.

"One of my ancestors found it after it fell from the sky, this is why I believe that the great library of the saints does exist. It's rumored that every moment of history is documented there, but what intrigues me the most, is the documents of the living and the gone. If we read them we could find Lucilla's heirs, and finally restore peace to the world. No more divides, no more lies about demons, we could create a place free for all."

This was overwhelming, Chanhee could never have imagined that he'd learn so much from coming here. Maybe Mama Kim's story was real, but if so, what was he meant to do? The world wasn't perfect, though it was must better than long ago. There may have been strife in certain communities, but that's unavoidable.

"Chanhee, I can tell you hold a very powerful soul within you, and I'm sure that you will unlock many more secrets to this world. So, If you ever need anything, you can come to me, I will assist you." The demon stated, taking back the book. "Now you should go, your boyfriends extremely worried."

Chanhee's eyes widened, as he heard Younghoon's voice from down the hall. Of course he was freaking out, Chanhee was meant to meet him hours ago. Yet, he did wonder how he was able to find him, did Younghoon frequent places like this? Standing up, Chanhee thanked Mama Kim, before leaving the room. He briefly passed Jieun on the way out, also giving his thanks to her.

The angel was engulfed in a hug, as soon as he saw Younghoon. The demon checked the boy over, letting out a sigh of relief that he was safe. "What the hell are you doing here? I've been looking everywhere for you." He said, pulling Chanhee in for another hug.

"I got into some trouble, but one of the angels helped me. How did you know I was here?" Chanhee asked, slightly hoping that his boyfriend wasn't a regular at this establishment. He didn't judge the girls, or the creatures who did visit the house, but it would make him feel weird if Younghoon was one of them.

"Hyunjae's upstairs." Younghoon laughed, causing Chanhee to chuckle as well. It wasn't surprising that Hyunjae would hang out in a place like this. "He's not cheating on Jacob or anything, he's just hanging out with the owners son, Sunwoo. Apparently he heard your voice, so he messaged me."

"Can we go home now?" Chanhee asked, intertwining his fingers with Younghoon's.

The demon nodded, guiding the angel towards the door. "Of course."

Chanhee melted into the demons touch, feeling soft kisses dot along his shoulder. These were the touches he lived for, much different from the ones experienced with Donghyun. It had been a long night, and Chanhee was just glad to be back with Younghoon. He could forget briefly about everything on his mind, getting lost in the demons loving embrace.

Turning himself around, Chanhee faced Younghoon, ghosting his lips over the demons. "I'll go wash up, then we can cuddle."

"Mm okay, be quick though." Younghoon pouted. "I'll miss you."

Chanhee let out a little giggle, separating himself from Younghoon. "I'll be as fast as I can."

After a nice long, warm shower, Chanhee stepped out, wrapping a towel around his waist. He felt refreshed, walking over to the mirror, ready to apply all his various moisturizers. Though, once he got a look at himself, he nearly burst into tears. Grasping onto the sink, Chanhee stared at the hand print burnt across his mouth. He'd seen it earlier in his phones camera, but seeing it properly in a mirror, really messed him up.

Chanhee held back tears, as he put on his pajamas, deciding to skip his usual skin care routine. All he wanted was to cover up the marks, he felt so dirty. Rushing out of the bathroom, the angel searched for his bag, not realizing there was a pair of deep red eyes on him.

"Chanhee...who did that to you?" Younghoon asked, eyes glued to the burn mark adorning the angels face.

"It's not important, I'm going to cover it anyway." Chanhee replied, grabbing the tub of mark covering gel from his bag. "It'll only take a second."

Younghoon just stared, feeling overwhelmingly depressed at the sight. His heart ached, knowing that someone had hurt Chanhee, and that he couldn't protect him.

Swallowing the lump in his throat, Younghoon pulled the tub from Chanhee, not allowing him to cover the mark. Instead, he softly ran his thumb along the bottom of Chanhee's chin, resting his hand on the side of the angels face.

"Please tell me." He muttered, slightly louder than a whisper.

He didn't have to hide it from Younghoon, nor did he have to fear him losing his temper. The demon was gentle, he was everything Chanhee needed.

"I got attacked by a demon on the way here, but luckily Jieun, the angel from the heaven house, saved me, before he did anything serious." Chanhee explained, looking up to see Younghoon's reaction. The demon looked sad, like way sadder than he had ever seen him, it was kind of a shock.

Younghoon didn't say anything, moving his hand down from the angels face, to his hand. He held the boys hand, taking him over to the sofa, where they sat beside one another. Still hand, and hand, Younghoon nuzzled his face into the crook of Chanhee's neck, feeling the angel rest his hand on the back of his head.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you."

Chanhee stroked the demons raven locks, letting a single tear roll down his cheek. "Can you look at me?" He asked, voice slightly shaky.

Moving his head back, Younghoon looked the angel in the eyes. He'd never get tired of staring at that precious face, even with the unwanted burn mark, he was still the most beautiful boy in the world.

"I love you."

With everything they had been through, Chanhee never once doubted how he felt about the demon. It began as burning desire, that turned into sweet adoration, and had very much evolved into what Chanhee believed as, true love. Though he wasn't sure if Younghoon felt the same way, he felt like it was the right time to tell him.

Those seconds were agonizing, waiting for Younghoon's response. Chanhee could only hear the rapid sound of his heart beat, nervous, and afraid that the demon didn't reciprocate the feeling. He wouldn't know what to do without him, Younghoon was not only his main source of happiness, but his access to freedom.

"I love you too."

Chanhee didn't have to worry anymore, those 4 words cemented that Younghoon would stay by his side no matter what.

I've got very bad writers block atm, and have run out of drafts, so that's fun😃
I'll attempt to write a few chapters tonight, but I'm kind of stuck on what direction I want the story to go. I guess tomorrows chapter will be whatever I randomly decide to write about at 4 am.
Hope everyone had a lovely day🥰
