China clinked against the glass table, as the waitress laid down their meals. Sangyeon hadn't eaten all day, so he immediately tucked into his late lunch. The zesty flavor of lime, filled his taste buds, as he took more and more bites of his ceviche.
"I think we should have waited for the others, or at least have told them we were going." Jacob stated, feeling too guilty to eat his food.
Sangyeon shook his head, running his tounge along his teeth. "I was hungry, I'm sure they'll understand." He explained, with an annoyed tone.
"Just text them where we are." Eric said, stuffing another spoonful of fish into his mouth.
"I already messaged Changmin, but I still feel bad."
A few minutes into their meal, the boys heard familiar whining fill their ears. The brown haired boy slammed his hands onto the table, causing knifes and forks to fly into the air. "That was the worst day of my life!" Changmin screamed.
Sangyeon bit his tounge, trying to stop himself from immediately scolding the boy. He'd been in a bad mood ever since his fight with Chanhee, so the littlest thing could set him off.
"What happened?" Jacob asked, calmly ushering Changmin to the seat beside him. He chuckled when the boy grabbed his plate of scallops, stabbing three, and shoving them into his mouth.
"That's the spirit!" Eric cheered.
With a mouthful of food, Changmin answered Jacob, spitting little bits of fish onto the table. "Chawnhee bicked Kuven."
"Can you swallow your food first?" Sangyeon requested, wiping off the small piece of scallop that flew onto his arm.
Changmin gulped the food down, so fast, he nearly chocked. Sangyeon low key hoped he'd just die right there, that way he wouldn't have to deal with his annoying behavior. Like I said, he was in a very bad mood.
"Chanhee picked Kevin as his best man!" Changmin squealed, pouting and slamming his hands on the table again. "It should have been me!"
Sangyeon felt his face flush red, and a fury build up inside him. He tensed up his whole body, clenching his fists beneath the table. "He what?"
Jacob could see Sangyeon's fists through the glass, worrying that the boy was about to lose it. His friend had always had a temper, but recently, it had really gotten out of hand. "I'm sure Chanhee has his reasons. Plus it's not that big of a deal, it's just some silly title." He said, attempting to diffuse the situation.
"He went behind my back, that is a big deal!" Sangyeon yelled. A few people around the restaurant looked over, but Sangyeon didn't care. Abruptly, he pushed out his chair, creating a ear wrenching shreak, as it scraped against the tiled floor. He harshly grabbed his brothers wrist, dragging him out of the restaurant.
"Sangyeon-" Jacob tried to stop him, but the boy was determined on leaving. Things were much less hostile a few weeks ago, he really wondered what happened. "You need to be more careful about what you say around him, he's extremely sensitive at the moment." Jacob explained, taking out his phone.
"It's not my fault he's an emotional wreck! I've got problems too!" Changmin whined. He pulled Sangyeon's and Eric's half eaten meals from across the table, tucking into the free food.
Jacob didn't reply, only shook his head, and shoved his plate over to the boy as well. He didn't feel like eating. After all the drama, he needed to text Chanhee, give him a heads up about Sangyeon.

By the time Changmin had finished scarfing down everyone elses meals, he'd basically made himself sick. Jacob had to call his driver to take him home, leaving the boy to pay the bill on his own. He left the restaurant, with no real plan in mind, he figured he'd just walk around the mall, browse some shops, then head home, do some school work, and settle down for the night.
The mall was somewhat quiet today, which was a nice change. It was good to have a bit of peace, Jacob liked it. His friends were always quite noisy, and made a big fuss wherever they went, just like today. So, it was pleasant, not having to worry about how his friends would embarrass him.
"Jacob!" A sweet voice called out.
He immediately recognized the voice, making his heart slightly flutter. His eyes met with the handsome 'angel', that he'd been spending time with for the past 2 weeks. He was really kind, and funny; Jacob really enjoyed talking to him. Ever since he transferred, Jacob started to look forward to going to his classes, on the chance he'd bump into him.
"Hi." Jacob said, shyly looking away.
"You look really cute today." Hyunjae cooed, ruffling the boys blonde locks. They'd become somewhat close over these 2 weeks, and Jacob was fine with Hyunjae's touchy feely nature.
A pink blush spread across the angels cheeks, which he gave up trying to hide, since Hyunjae always complimented him. "Thanks, I like your jacket." Jacob remarked, referring to the boys pastel green corduroy jacket.
"Thank you, I got it from the store downstairs, I'm actually heading there now, would you want to join me?" Hyunjae asked, his lips curved into the prettiest smile, no one could resist.
Jacob pursed his lips, which Hyunjae found adorable, thinking about whether he should go. It wouldn't be any trouble to go with Hyunjae, he didn't have anything planned anyway. "Sure, I haven't got anywhere I need to be."
"I'm glad you said that." Hyunjae chuckled, locking his arms with Jacob. "That means you can't make up an excuse to leave, because I already know you have no where to be." He added, noticing Jacob's cheeks turn even pinker.
Once he had Jacob where he wanted him, Hyunjae for sure made the most of it. He took Jacob to almost every shop in the mall, then to play mini golf, then to watch a movie, then to have dinner. It was around 6 pm, when they finished all their activities, the sun had began to set, laying a golden hue across the city.
The boys spent their last moments together, outside the mall, waiting for Jacob's driver to arrive. The angel looked so beautiful, Hyunjae really couldn't hold himself back anymore. He slowly lifted his hand, and gently caressed Jacobs cheek. "I like you, and I'd like to go on more dates with you."
Jacobs eyes widened, his pupils dilating slightly. "This was a date?" He said, so innocently, it made Hyunjae laugh.
"I hoped so."
The angel bit his lip, trying to hide the smile that was creeping onto his face. "That's okay with me then."
"Perfect, now I'm not really one for kissing on the first date." This was very much a lie. "But, I'd really like to kiss you." Hyunjae stated, his eyes falling on the boys plump, pink lips.
Jacob gulped, tensing at the sudden evolution of their relationship. He'd never kissed anyone before, his mum had always told him to wait for the right person. Though, he'd never felt this way with anyone else, he really wanted to kiss Hyunjae. "I'd like that too."
Jacobs heart flutters intensified as he felt a soft pair of lips meet his. He was nervous at first, but soon found comfort in Hyunjae's confidence. The kiss was light, nothing too heavy for a first kiss, simply fitting for the gentle angel. It was everything he imagined, tingles shot down his spine, his knees became weak, his whole body engulfed in the boys vanilla scent. He gave all of himself in that kiss, completely vulnerable for the boy he liked.
Though, Hyunjae felt something completely different. Smug, just smug. The kiss was boring compared to what he was use to, so his mind kind of wandered. He thought about how he could touch Jacob with no repercussions, since he wouldn't mark him. He really wanted to call Younghoon up at this very second, and taunt him, about how he could do whatever he wanted. He could fucking ruin the boy, and no one would know; it really payed off being only half-demon.
Jacob pulled away from the kiss, hearing car wheels screeching beside them. He looked at Hyunjae with such joy in his eyes, that kiss meant a lot for him. He quickly said his goodbye, and got into his car. Hyunjae waved him off, with a beaming smile on his face. The kiss meant a lot for him too, it made him realize how badly he wanted to fuck the living daylight out of the angel.
