Kevin scowled at his phone, reading, yet again, another passive aggressive text from Sangyeon. He had no idea what the angels problem was, he thought they had somewhat sorted out their issues.

"Ugh read this one." Kevin groaned, shoving his phone in Chanhee's face.

Sangyeon

I thought we were friends Kevin
I guess not

"Seriously, I don't get why he always has a problem with me."

Rolling his eyes, Chanhee pushed the phone back to Kevin. He wasn't really in the mood to deal with his ex boyfriends annoying behavior. "Just apologize, or something, he's probably mad over nothing." He sighed.

Kevin hummed in response, agreeing that it was better to apologize. He just wanted an easy life, and to have that, he needed to be on good terms with Sangyeon.

Me

I'm sorry for whatever I did

Sangyeon

This is unforgivable Kevin

"Oh c'mon!" Kevin huffed, showing the reply to Chanhee. "What does he want me to do? He hasn't even told me why he's mad, and now it's unforgivable! I give up!"

Chanhee shook his head, feeling just as frustrated as Kevin. Sangyeon was being ridiculous, it was times like this, when Chanhee was glad he broke up with the angel. "Ignore him then, you can join me in the 'angels Sangyeon hates club.'"He joked, receiving a chuckle from the other.

"Oh I think I've been in that club for a long time, but you, he'll never hate you." Kevin remarked, tucking his phone into his pocket.

Though It was unfortunate, Kevin was right. Chanhee knew that no matter what he did to Sangyeon, the angel wouldn't hate him. This made him feel awful, he knows that Sangyeon would take him back in heart beat, but he'd never go back to him, if he didn't have to.

"Let's get to class, I don't want to be late." Chanhee stated, to avoid thinking about his complicated life. Yet, just as he said that, his phone started to ring. He hoped that it wasn't Sangyeon calling, because if it was, he might actually smash his phone.

Looking at the caller id, Chanhee felt a rush of relief; there would be no phone smashing today.

"Hello..." Chanhee answered, hearing nothing but silence.

"Younghoon? What's wrong?"

____

Chanhee clutched the bottom of the leather seat, trying to control his emotions. He remembered this car vaguely, from when he was drunk weeks ago, the leather still felt the same. Kevin sat in the front, beside Juyeon, who was currently driving them through downtown. The angel was extremely grateful for Juyeon, he came straight away once he heard about what happened.

The car was silent, no one really knew what to say. It would be distasteful to chat during times like this, but it's not like they were directly affected.

Clearing his throat, Kevin broke the silence. "How close was Younghoon to his father?" He asked, hoping that it wasn't an inappropriate question.

"I'm not too sure, he doesn't talk about him much." Juyeon replied, patting the angels thigh. "I do know they had a good relationship though."

The end of Chanhee's finger tips had turned red, from the amount of pressure he was putting on the car seat. He was trying to keep himself together, but he just wanted to get to Younghoon. He could only imagine how horrible it must be to lose someone you love.

____

Rushing out of the car, Chanhee sprinted up to the apartment, swinging open the unlocked door. He took a less frantic pace, as he walked inside, realizing that Younghoon was just sitting peacefully on the sofa. He wasn't crying, he wasn't angry, he seemed completely fine.

"Younghoon..." Chanhee muttered, sitting beside the demon. Immediately, he felt a head slump onto his shoulder, almost speaking for him, without any words.

The demon obviously wasn't fine, Chanhee had heard about all the hardships his family had to face. And now, on top of that, his father had passed away. The angel didn't know what to say, nothing he could muster would mean a thing, or make anything better.

Kevin and Juyeon waited at the door, not wanting to overwhelm Younghoon. They both knew that all the demon needed right now, was Chanhee.

"It's been two weeks." Younghoon said, pain lacing his voice. "He's been gone for two weeks, and no one told me." He continued, looking up at the angel.

The demon was devastated, you could see it in his eyes. Chanhee couldn't hold the stare for long, it hurt seeing Younghoon so upset. "I'm sorry this happened, they should have told you straight away."

Younghoon wholeheartedly agreed, he wanted to be there for his family, look after his mother and sister, like his father would have wanted. Instead, it was them who wanted to protect him, keeping it from him, until they had no other choice.

"The funerals on Sunday." Younghoon stated, lifting his head from Chanhee's shoulder, looking him in the eye. "I want you to come with me."

Chanhee understood that it would be risky, but he didn't care. It seemed like everything he did now was either dangerous or risky, yet, he kept doing it. So what's one more risky thing? This was extremely important to Younghoon. "Of course I'll come, I just need to figure out some sort of excuse for why I'm leaving."

"I'll cover for you." Kevin said, walking closer to the sofa.

Also walking over, Juyeon stands beside Kevin, realizing that it might not be the best idea. "But think about last time, no ones going to trust that Chanhee's with you. What if Sangyeon comes to check? or Changmin?"

"I'll just leave I guess, I don't know, I'll work it out-"

"You can come with us Kevin." Younghoon interrupted. "Say you're taking Chanhee on a bachelors party weekend."

Even through his grief, Younghoon was still a quick thinker. If Kevin came with them, then no one could ask Kevin about where Chanhee was. Plus, the lie was at least somewhat believable, since the wedding was right around the corner.

"Juyeon can come too, I don't feel like driving." He added, which Juyeon just nodded to.

"Okay then, everything's sorted, when are we leaving?" Chanhee asked, rubbing the demons arm gently.

Younghoon went on to explain the details, answering Chanhee's question, alongside, telling them what to wear to the funeral, where they were staying, and giving Juyeon directions to his home town. He hadn't been home for a few years, it was extremely surreal. He'd get to see his family again, it was just unfortunate that it was for such a sad occasion. Though, he'd have Chanhee by his side, and that always made him feel better.
