That Jelly stuff was incredible, you couldn't even tell it wasn't Chanhee's real skin. The angel could finally relax, knowing he'd be able to hide these demon marks until they eventually faded. It was almost bitter sweet though, Eunji was definitely going to keep a closer eye on him now, the chances of him seeing Younghoon again, were slim to none.

"We better get going." Eunji stated. She could easily tell that Chanhee didn't want to leave, so she gave him a soothing smile, and stroked his arm. "You don't want to go?"

"I feel bad about not saying goodbye, I put him through so much trouble." Chanhee muttered, sighing heavily.

Eunji interlocked her hand with the angels, caressing his face with her free one. She knew that Chanhee wasn't happy, if a demon he barely knew could change him this much, but they had to go home, this wasn't a choice. "You didn't get those marks from no where, he's half responsible for this whole mess. Don't worry yourself, let's get you home."

"Ugh this angel is tugging my heart strings." Hyunjae grunted, staring at Chanhee's tear stained face. He pulled out his phone, swiped around for a bit, then handed it to Chanhee. "I'll be outside."

Chanhee took the phone, that was already ringing. Hesitating before bringing it up to his ear.

"Don't take too long." Eunji whispered, taking herself and Kevin outside, to wait with Hyunjae.

It didn't take long for the call the be answered, with the demons deep voice heard from the other end.

'Hyunjae, what's going on?'

"It's Chanhee."

'Why are you on Hyunjae's phone? Did something go wrong? I'll come back.'

The angel was really going to miss that voice. Younghoon was basically a stranger, but he reminded Chanhee of his freedom. The only times he'd ever taken a risk, the only times he ever went against his parents. It was a shame to cut this so short, he desperately wanted to spend more time with the demon.

"No, nothing's wrong, we actually found a solution."

'So this is a goodbye.'

"I guess it is."

'In the nicest way, I hope I never see you again, Choi Chanhee.'

"Same here, Kim Younghoon."

And with that, the call was over. Chanhee bit his lip, taking one last glance around the apartment. His run ins with the demon, would be hard to forget, but he had to get back to his real life. He couldn't keep playing make believe.

____

Down town, the worst part of the city. Where so called 'thugs' and 'low lives', wasted away, either performing crime, or drinking themselves to death. Yes, that was the way most uptown residents saw it, but it really wasn't like that at all.

There was crime, that can't be avoided, and there are alcoholics, that also couldn't be avoided, yet that wasn't all that down town had to offer. Truthfully, it was full of creatures who didn't have the best lives, but were doing their best. Mainly dark creatures, wishing for that chance of a better life, making the most of what they had.

Lee Hyunjae, the thriver of down town. He couldn't really complain about his life, cause honestly, it was pretty great. Born to a demon mother and pooka father, he gained the best of both worlds. His demon side got him those sharp, handsome features, and his pooka side got him those wicked shape shifting abilities. He walked through the streets without a care in the world.

He was popular, charming, and came from one of the more wealthy families in the area, he didn't think life could get much better. That was until, he laid eyes on that angel. Ever since the day they met, he couldn't get the boy off his mind. He knew he had to have him, and he would stop at nothing.

Who knew transforming only parts of yourself would be so difficult. He'd spent years developing his abilities, to the point where he could transform with a snap of his fingers. Though, this time he really had to concentrate. He needed to be himself, Jacob would never be able to resist his unbelievable looks, but he had to slightly tweak some things.

That fairy did the boy wonders. Shape shifters were very hard to come by, becoming an almost rare species. This made it very hard for anyone to realize Hyunjae had changed forms. Only few individuals are educated on the matter, that fairy clearly being one of them. He did some research after, figuring out that it was probably his scent that gave him away. With help from his dad, and online experts, Hyunjae was pretty sure he'd be able to get away with it this time.

Firstly, his eyes. No angel had red eyes, he needed those iconic icy ones. When he transformed to Chanhee, it was like putting on a costume, so without a full transformation, getting those blue eyes would be a challenge. He studied angels eyes for days, staring at pictures from every angle. His eyes became red and sore, from the amount he practiced changing them. Though it was all worth it, when he finally got it right.

Secondly, his scent. Dark creatures smelt drastically different from light ones. He searched around for a few days, before coming across a scent masker. He'd need to reapply it every 4 hours, but it was the best thing he could use. He then bought a fuck ton of vanilla spray, since he heard angels loved that scent. His bank account may have been crying, but he sure wasn't.

Thirdly, his skin. It was clear as day, but rough as sand paper. Dark creatures skin was just like that. Unfortunately, angels were the complete opposite, soft, soft and more soft. He had to soften up. Similar research to the eyes, he studied pictures of angels skin, and thought back to when he transformed into Chanhee. Eventually, he found the perfect texture, leaving him with skin he couldn't stop himself touching. It was exactly like an angels.

He was ready.

Dressed in a white button up shirt, with grey high-waisted trousers, this was far from his regular look. Very 'good boy', it was perfect. On his way out, his parents commented on his look, not knowing the risky plan their son had in store. His father had helped him with his research, but he just assumed he wanted to brush up on his skills. Hyunjae, walked through down town, with no intention of stopping.

Now he was standing outside his new university, completely transformed, he left his darkness behind. When he said he'd stop a nothing to get Jacob, he really meant it.
