CHAPTER ELEVEN
LOVE DOESN'T LAST

HE WOKE TO FIND BUNNY STILL ASLEEP. He still felt the kisses on his lips from the night prior, kisses not entirely the same as usual. Kisses that said, I miss you, don't forget about me. Those unspoken things, that could only be said through kisses.

He watched as he breathes in and out, soft and gently. Bunny had never been one to be gentle. Not a gentle boy in the slightest, not whilst awake, even his most gentle actions — a hug — had been rough and squeezing, but in sleep, he was the most gentlest person he'd ever seen.

He'd miss him terribly when he leaves, even if it is for just a week, by the time the week comes to a close, they'll be back at Hogwarts.

But he'd miss this. How they could be like this, away from real life. He wished, so desperately, to stay in this bubble with him forever.

But he had to leave.

Leave to see him.

To see the boy he needed to see so desperately. The hunger in his heart had not died down whilst at the Goyle estate. It had only grown, and gnawed at him. Uncomfortably.

He packed his stuff, stuffing them into his bag before zipping it up quietly, careful to not wake Bunny. He didn't know if he'll be able to say goodbye.

Unfortunately for him, Bunny stirred awake.

"Leaving without a goodbye kiss?" Bunny trilled, Augustine turned to the bed, where Bunny sat propped up onto his elbows, a smile on his face.

Augustine rolled his eyes playfully before stepping over his suitcase towards the bed, where Bunny pulled at his shirt, pulling him close.

Bunny kisses him softly, "I'll miss you,"

"No you won't," it was out of his mouth quickly and with a sinking feeling, he realised it was just like the dream. Maybe it wasn't a dream at all, maybe it was precognitive.

Bunny just smiled, his hand rose to his jaw and thumbed it, his calloused fingers hard on his face, "I will, the bed will be cold without you in it,"

He laughed into his lips, "mhm, only reason you want me stay is it?"

Bunny nodded, "yeah, definitely the only reason . ." His lips ended up on his neck, kissing him softly.

Augustine shook his head, "I need to go," pulling away slightly, Bunny tightened his grip on his jaw.

"Do everything he tells you to do," he explained, his eyes serious as they stared into his own.

"I will," I'll try.

Bunny just nodded, removing his hand from his chin. The unwelcome weight loss caused Augustine to frown a little. But there's no time for sadness. He'll be with Tom soon enough.

....

The chauffeur didn't speak for the whole ride. He didn't mind, seeing as he'd never been good conversational wise. The car felt bigger without everyone in it. Squished together, feeling Abraxas' sharp knees in him, having Bunny's arm on him. It left him feeling empty, so instead he kept his head against the window, the rhythmic hums of the car calmed his beating heart.

His heart full of excitement, ready to meet Tom once again.

What he doesn't realise is, that Tom hadn't stayed with any parents. Apparently having no parents to speak of, which was odd. Seeing as he spoke of his father as if he was still here. He was only in London, staying at an orphanage.
