CHAPTER FIVE
BUNNY KEEPS HIS PROMISE

TOM RIDDLE WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND WHEN AUGUSTINE WANDERED INTO THE SLYTHERIN COMMON ROOM LATER THAT DAY. He was going to confront the other boy about Henry, about his replacement. But unfortunately, he wasn't here, now this should've sent worry through Augustine but instead, he shrugged it off and exited the common room in favour of going into the forest.

Mainly so he could see Circe, and ask her why another had the same gifts as he.

It wasn't too dark, considering dinner would be soon approaching, and the air was warm, meaning Augustine hadn't needed to wear his jumper.

Circe knew he would be looking for her, she always did.

"My boy, why are you visiting so soon after our last?" Circe was dressed in gold once more, the gold a contrast to her dark skin and hair.

"Henry Albright, tell me of him," Augustine spoke storming towards her, she did not back away.

"Henry," a smile tugged at Circe's lips as if deep in memory, which Augustine hated, no one should be able to make a Goddess smile like that.

"He's one of Hecates boys, I don't know why he was given necromancy," she spoke, her tone drifting as she thought.

Augustine crossed his arms, "he's my replacement apparently." The idea that Augustine could be so easily replaced sent him cold with dread. He couldn't imagine being cast out, having to watch the Knights laugh and talk without him, once again the outsider looking in.

The Goddess nodded, "so I've heard," a dark hand placed onto his shoulder, light and airy. "and what will be done about it?"

He lifted his head, grey eyes looking in her gold ones, "I'll think of something,"

"I know you will, you always do."

....

Augustine did already have a plan in mind. It was pretty simple really, he'd kill him when the time was right.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Abraxas hissed as they sat in transfiguration the next day as he told the group (bar for one, Tom, who was uncharacteristically late) his plan.

"What? I am not being replaced thank you very much," Augustine hissed back.

"I think it's a splendid plan," Bunny joked from behind them as he leaned forward in his chair to speak to them, Theo snorted from besides him

"Yeah if you want the whole school thinking there's a killer around," he said grinning.

Augustine rolled his eyes at Theo's teasing chide, "well I'll just make it look like an accident, it's not hard, I did it with Jasper pretty easily,"

"Did you though?" Bunny's tone was knowing and suddenly Augustine's stomach dropped.

"What do you mean?"

"I've just been hearing some whispers that's all," Bunny spoke, "don't worry, no one believes them," he added kindly.

"Who's saying these things?" Augustine prodded
