CHAPTER TEN
CHRISTMAS CHEERTHE WINTER DAYS BLURRED INTO EACH OTHER AND SOON ENOUGH IT WAS CHRISTMAS. Augustine had forgotten about Christmas, what with the initiation and all.
So when he rose that morning, with Bunny practically on top of him bouncing happily, he groaned, wondering why he was so happy for.
"It's Christmas, come on!" Bunny declared pulling him out of the bed, he almost pulled his arm out of his socket. He could definitely feel something pop when he felt Bunny's strong arm pull.
They hurried across the hallway to Reinhardt and Abraxas' room, swinging the door open, it was revealed that they were both still soundly sleeping.
Though it's slightly shocking to see that they weren't six foot away from eachother like usual, instead, Reinhardt slept nestled in Abraxas' side. Abraxas' pale arm held him close.
Augustine tilted his head at the scene before looking to Bunny, "that's new,"
Bunny stifled a laugh before taking a deep breath, Augustine knew what would happen next.
"Wake up dickheads!" He yelled loudly causing Abraxas to jump startled. Reinhardt on the other hand nestled closer, groaning loudly, his eyes still closed.
"Prick," Abraxas stated rubbing his eyes, he then looked down at the other boy, a small smile, that vanished as soon as it appeared, lingering as he nudged Reinhardt, "get up," ordered Abraxas sternly.
Reinhardt made no effort to move, pretending to sleep, it was easy to tell, his breathing was far too quick to be asleep. Nestling closer to Abraxas, he rolls his eyes to him.
Augustine didn't know what to think. When did this happen?
Bunny trudged over and bounced onto the bed, earning another groan from him. He then shook him rapidly, and harshly from the way Reinhardts head slung back and forth.
"Ow!" He complained opening his dark eyes, "I'm awake! Leave me alone!"
"Come on! It's Christmas!" Bunny exclaimed for the second time that morning, jumping up off of the bed and jogged back to Augustine, grabbing him by the pyjama top and dragging him down the hallway, not waiting for the other two.
....
Augustine forgot that other people did in fact live at the Goyle manor, and that it wasn't just the Knights. Having been in and out of the house so often, he just hadn't seen the other people who lived there.
So when they entered the living room, the tree being centred around piles upon piles of presents, it came as a shock to see the kids sitting around it as well, sitting rummaging through to find their presents excitedly. He'd forgotten completely that Bunny's niece and nephews were also here along with Edward, his brother, and his wife Margaret.
Most likely, Clarence and Katherine were still sleeping to care about such menial things as they were nowhere to be seen that morning.
Augustine stood awkwardly in the doorframe as Bunny tackled his oldest nephew Gregory, picking him up, causing the boy to squeal.
He smiled watching him get tackled by the other two, both trying to bring him down by pulling at his legs.
"I'm praying for him when he has his own kids," Edwards spoke noticing his gaze.
