CHAPTER TWELVE
DECISIONS DECISIONS

WHEN AUGUSTINE WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING, HE MADE SOME RULES FOR HIMSELF:

1. No more romantic relations (including Tom)

This was necessary for Augustine's well being. Seeing as he'd practically ditched all of his morals the moment he'd got attention from an attractive boy, well two attractive boys unfortunately.

2. Never trust a thing Tom says

This was easier said than done. The persuasive tone that Tom used often made Augustine fall into a deeper pit of submission. But that would not happen again, no. Augustine would not let his words infect him once again.

3. stay above a P

After befriending the Knights, his grades had started to slip ever so slightly. So now, he would devote his time to getting the best grades he could possibly get; he was smart after all, why was he wasting potential when he could be great?

He kept these new rules private, kept them close to his chest as he woke up, looking towards the others; Bunny bouncing about, having already been on his morning jog, a hint of rose to his cheeks from the spring air, to Tom, who ran a lazy hand through his messy hair having only just woken up.

He averted his eyes away from them both, stretching before climbing out of bed to go into the bathroom. His eyes instantly wincing from the bright light already on from Theo brushing his teeth rather roughly. He'd noticed that about Theo, he'd always been slightly too intense about his dental hygiene.

"Morning," he murmured, mouth full of toothpaste causing Augustine to grimace.

"Have fun last night?" Augustine asked, brow raised in question. He had wondered what Theo had gotten up to with Flick.

Theo spat out his toothpaste, a mix of white and blood before running the tap, "very fun, you? I heard you and Bun are friendly again,"

"Did he tell you that?" Augustine questioned, head tilted back to the dorm room, eyeing Bunny. He'd started to shake wet hair at a disgusted Reinhardt with Abraxas laughing from his bed.

"Told me you tried to kill him,"

"I did,"

"Apparently you're a shit fighter,"

"Correct,"

Theo scoffed, shaking his head before slamming an appreciative hand onto his back, "I could teach you how to fight if you want,"

Why does everyone think they can just teach Augustine how to fight? First Bunny now Theo? Was he really that bad?

"We could teach each other," he then added suddenly, eyes bright with an idea.

Augustine turned to him, "what?"

"We could always teach each other," he repeated as if Augustine hadn't heard him the first time, "use an empty classroom, we could even teach spells, you know, the ones we can't learn in class," his eyes glittering the way Tom's usually did.

Augustine nodded realising his idea, "we could mask it as a study group, that way no one would question us,"

"Should we host our first session tomorrow?"

....

"NO. NO. NO!"

"Oh come on!" Bunny pleaded grinning from ear to ear, with Augustine trailing behind him as they followed Abraxas to breakfast the next morning.
