CHAPTER FIFTEEN
ROUND ONE

"SHUT UP EDMUND!" Abraxas' voice hissed for the final time as they approached a room that Augustine had found out only appeared when necessary. According to Theo, it was called the room of Requirements, and Augustine was particularly overjoyed when he found the room was inhabited with the softest sofas he'd ever sat on, maybe he thought, this is what he required after so long on his feet.

Sinking into the closest one, Bunny joined him soon after, Bunny reeked of something, alcohol maybe? Or was it just odd smelling cologne, he could never be too sure with him.

"So, we'll meet here every Friday night," Theo's voice brought their eyes upwards towards him. He paced the room as they watched, Augustine could feel the rest of the eyes following Theo as he paced, he had a certain sort of magnetism that Tom was jealous of.

"We'll learn anything, from fist fighting to spells — verbal and non verbal,"

"As well as other things, such as legilimancy and its partner, occlumency" he added finally.

Augustine didn't quite understand why they needed to be taught fist fighting. When speaking with Tom over the winter months, he'd thought they'd take over and rule through political means rather than through force.

"Why does he get to be the teacher?" Bunny grumbled.

"Because it was my idea," Theo replied sternly, his arms crossed over his chest with an eyebrow raised at him.

Bunny grew red before sinking into his seat some more.

"Anyway," Theo continued, eyes still stern on Bunny before looking towards the door for a quick second, obviously waiting for Tom to waltz right in.

Bunny raised his hand, making Theo sign loudly, "what is it Bun?"

"I already know how to do occlumency,"

"Pardon?" Theo replied utterly bewildered, the same expression everyone else was sporting, because occlumency was hard work, and Bunny wasn't the sort to be able to do such complex magic.

"How do you know how to do that?" Abraxas asked surprised, and a little angrily.

"Tom taught me, ages ago." Bunny said with a shrug.

"Why on earth would he teach you that?" Abraxas asked.

"Yeah no offense bun but you're not exactly Toms best pal." Reinhardt said jokingly.

Flick shook her head from the other sofa, currently sprawled across it like a cat, she spoke harshly, a complete contrast to her current outfit; a pale dress, she looked unearthly, the dress paired with her unnerving eyes and white hair. "come on then, if you know it, do it."

Bunny rolled his eyes, "I've been doing it for the past year, just in case one of you dickheads wanted a peak inside my mind."

Augustine frowned at him, "what?"

Theo and Abraxas looked angrily to him as well, but before Bunny could answer, the door swung open.

"Are we all here?" Toms voice spoke out, Augustine turned to look at him.

"Yes," Theo spoke, his tone still angry as he crossed his arms over his chest. Augustine had never seen Theo look so angry before, he hadn't seen any of them look this angry now thinking of it.

"Well then, let's begin." Tom said smiling.

....

"CRUCIO," Theo yelled for the third time that minute.

Currently, according to Tom, they needed to hone their crucio abilities. Augustine didn't, but he could see why the others did.

Bunny laughed on the floor as he jolted in pain once more.

Bunny was their test subject, he'd volunteered and Augustine wasn't at all surprised.

Theo was overjoyed by it, still being angry over the fact Tom had taught Bunny before him.

He spat out some blood, coating the floor, "oh don't stop," Bunny spoke sarcastically as he finally stopped withering in pain, and through hard wheezing. "you're doing splendidly,"

"Don't mock me," Theo replied irritably, a deep set frown had made its way permanently on his face.

Augustine hadn't seen Theo this angry before. It was an odd sight, seeing as Theo had always been relatively laid back since Augustine had met him.

"Sorry sweetheart." Bunny grinned before Theo sent another cruciatus curse at him.

"I think Bun's had enough, don't you think?" Tom spoke, Augustine jumped, having forgotten he was even there; throughout the night, Tom had decided to prowl his way around the room, like a predator stalking it's prey from the outskirts of the small room.

He was always watching, Augustine knew, watching for their weaknesses.

Bunny sat up quickly, "thank merlin for that." He said before getting up from the floor and hobbling towards the sofa Augustine had been occupying.

Collapsing into it, Augustine turned to look at him. He was bruised and bloody all over, but nothing episky won't solve.

"Are you okay?" He whispered, taking another look at him.

"I'm fine July, don't worry." Giving him a grin, the nickname sent a pang to his heart. He chose to ignore it in favour of looking towards Tom.

Unsurprisingly, Tom had his eyes on Augustine already.
