Lauren had to practically drag Camden to the car, after she stormed out of the house. She didn't wanna go to the hospital. She didn't believe she needed to go. Once Lauren finally got her to the car Camden stared at the window avoiding any eye contact. She couldn't believe that the girl they she loved was treating her like this. She screamed, slammed things and refused to believe her. This wasn't how Lauren was. She believed that Lauren should know she wasn't lying she would never lie to her. Camden sighed deeply looking up at the moon that lit up the whole sky. It was a beautiful night, she was upset she had to spend it in the hospital. She felt a pair of eyes on her and she used everything in her to not look back.
"Babe, you can't be mad at me. I'm doing this to help you. Maybe they can give you some medicine and everything will go back to normal. You have really bad anxiety, I'm sure that's all this is, everything will go back go normal, you'll be able to sleep and you'll have less anxiety, you were on medication for anxiety in high school maybe you just need to be on it again until we get settled into the house. I'm sure everything is okay."
"This is normal. The house isn't normal, nothing is ever going to be okay again until something done with that fucking house" Camden replied bitterly her eyes focused on the lines on the road.
Lauren tried to place her hand on Camden's leg "I told you don't fucking touch me!"
Lauren was wishing that one of the other girls had taken her to the hospital. Lauren sighed and stared straight at the road all the way to the hospital. Once they arrived the hospital parking lot was busy considering it was a Sunday night. Lauren glanced at the young brunette from the corner of her eye when she heard a sniffle.
"My love, it's going to be okay."
The green eyed girl hated she was the reason she was crying. Lauren wanted to believe Camden but everything just seemed so surreal. Ghosts aren't real, that type of stuff just wasn't Lauren's thing, she was a logical person she used to laugh at the people on ghost adventures when they would "see" a ghost. Camden had tears streaming down her face, and Lauren's heart was breaking every time she heard Camden sniffle. When they finally found a parking spot they began walking in, Camden walked close to Lauren. It became hard for her to hold herself up. She was becoming weaker and weaker every step she took. Lauren noticed how unbalanced she had became, she stopped her and held her by her wrists, and took one hand and placed the back of her palm on Camden's forehead, "Camz, you're burning up."
Lauren tried to help Camden walk but the first step she collapsed in Lauren's arms.
"Camden?" Lauren shouted tapping her face lightly trying to get a response. Camden's eyes opened but she didn't move any. She stared blankly at Lauren, not once did she blink. Lauren scooped her up and took her into the emergency room.
The receptionist was looking at her computer screen when she noticed Lauren come in.
"How may I help you?"
"This is my girlfriend Camden Holmes, she's 18 years old, she just collapsed in the parking lot, she also started having hallucinations and I think she also has a Fever." The weight of Camden was beginning to hurt Lauren's arms.
"Does she have any preexisting medical conditions?"
"No, I mean anxiety but something more than that is wrong with her now!"
The receptionist was typing away on her computer, completely oblivious that Lauren was holding an 18 year old girl in her arms. A nurse noticed and gave her Lauren a wheelchair for Camden. They made her a bracelet and told them to go sit in the waiting room until the first room became available.
Camden wiped her eyes and looked around "when did we get here?"
"Oh my god Camz! Are you okay?"
She titled her head slightly at Lauren, "um yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
