The Haunting of Forest Lane

Chapter Twenty Five

All the girls took off running to the bathroom after watching him get thrown into the wall. You could hear Nick screaming and piercings screams came from the devil. Lauren had, had enough for today. She was sitting in the bathroom with her hands covering her ears, she only did this when she was overwhelmed, she wanted to curl up into a ball and forget the world.

"Laur, it's okay" Camden sat down behind her and hugged her tightly.

"Usually you're the one scared, it's not usually me in these situations, it's something about that scream though it's deafening and I'm already exhausted."

She shrugged, "I think I'm just used to it honestly. It's scary for sure, but Nick is a trained for this, he lives for this! He'll figure out how to get rid of it. You're overwhelmed. I understand that. I've got you."

The rest of the time Nick was fighting the demon, Camden sat behind Lauren in the tub, she rested her head back on Camden, she held her, her body was shaking Camden hated seeing Lauren like this she usually was brave but sometimes even Lauren broke down.

One last loud piercing scream came from the kitchen and nick yelled, "You can come out it's clear!"

The girls slowly exited the bathroom and found Nick calmly sitting on the couch, "Ally texted me she's getting discharged soon, let's all go and pick her up sound good?"

They didn't understand how Nick was this calm, but they also figured he had seen it all before.

*****That evening*****

They got Ally home and comfortable, all the girls were upstairs laying in her bed eating pizza Nick had ordered. Amani didn't get the chance to tell Ally she was pregnant earlier so she figured now would be there best time to do so."

"Allyson, I have something I need to tell you."

"Are you okay what's wrong you never call me Allyson."

Amani laughed, "I'm fine, just listen. I told the other girls this morning and Danielle just found out this week, I wanted to tell you Cam and Laur together, but obviously that didn't happen. So when we first moved in I was dancing constantly, and I needed help but I was too scared to ask Danielle I guess. So I got help from a guy that was in my class he was phenomenal, and he wanted money well I didn't have any I mean we had just moved in and I had bought all new stuff for my bedroom here. All I had on me was a fake ID from high school, and a pair of pants and a shirt he cut me a deal and told me if I had sex with him he would let it go, so me being me had sex with him, unprotected, he didn't like condoms. I never got my period and Sasha made me take a test because she knew I was pregnant she could sense it. I was in denial but I'm pregnant Ally. I'm going to have a baby."

Ally squealed, "oh my god! You and Danielle are going to make the best parents ever! I can't wait! Does this mean I'm going to be an aunt? When are you due? Are you having a gender reveal, can I plan a shower?"

Danielle covered Ally's mouth, "shh, listen we just found out. All 3 of you are going to be aunts. She's due in May, shortly before her 20th birthday, and we probably have a shower, we're going to raise the baby here in the guest room, which needs cleaned, but we have time and right now Mani has horrible morning sickness and is craving anything sour, which is weird she hates sour foods. She's 13 and a half weeks pregnant. It's crazy, but we're in this life together so I'm going to be with her every step of the way."

Amani smiled and kissed Danielle's hand, "this is why I love you."

Danielle smiled back, "I'm the youngest one in this house. I just turned 18 in June, obviously everyone is going to think I'm unprepared, but how could I be unprepared with you all supporting us? I love Amani more than anything and I can't wait to hold our daughter."

Everyone was gushing over Amani's belly where you could see the little baby bump and laughing, Camden decided she was going to get drinks for everyone and go check on Nick, since he had a very eventful afternoon.

When Camden reached the bottom of the stairs she found Cassidy crying. Camden hesitated to proceed any farther, but decided to see what was wrong with her, she sounded like a genuine upset child.

"Hey Cass, what's wrong?"

"It's all my fault! I'm not evil though Camden! I'm not!"

"Cassidy, what's wrong, tell me what's going on."

"I died and I didn't have any real friends other than my mommy and brothers. I wanted to be friends with Elizabeth, she trusted me and then at her wedding one of my friends or so I thought pushed her down the stairs and she died. Other things take over my body and make do things and say things and use my body to hurt people. I take you to the park because I just wanna slide and swing with you, I didn't have friends or  a sister that's why I like you I think we could be really good friends, but I saw mean things and they make me hurt you, and I don't like doing that but when its happening I don't realize I'm hurting you but then I see you afterwards and covered in bruises and people who claim to be my friends hurt you, Amani has a baby in her belly and the mean guys want to hurt her, but Elizabeth is protecting her extra hard."

"So you don't let people hurt us Cassidy?"

"No! I'm nice I really am, but tonight the mean guys are coming back, and you have to be ready for them."

Camden got scared but noticed the girl was also terrified, "what is it Cass?"

The devil, he attacked Lauren earlier and then Nick. I know he's coming because all of you are exhausted and he won't have to fight so hard to take over because you all have no energy."

"Tonight?! When?"

"I can't say anything else Camden. The mean guys will take me away forever, for telling. I shouldn't have said what I did."

"But Cassidy, you're protecting us please tell-"

The little girl vanished.

Camden pinched herself, "ow! I'm not dreaming."

Camden realized that Cassidy was just a 5 year old girl, they all figured it wasn't her fault but the girl was distraught, she called the demons, mean guys she doesn't know what's she's doing. She continued to the kitchen to get soda and water for her friends and carried them backup stairs, when she opened Ally's door Danielle threw a pillow at her.

"Nice of you to join us Cam. Thought Casper the friendly ghost got you."

Camden didn't laugh she just walked emotionless to the bed, Danielle noticed something was up.

"Cam? Are you okay?"

Camden felt herself getting weaker every step she took, "yeah, fine. I'm gonna lay down."

Ally, Amani, Lauren, and Danielle were sitting on the bed eating pizza, while Camden laid down and tried to conserve her energy but she felt like it was getting sucked out of her every second. She couldn't keep her eyes anymore, she closed her eyes and instantly fell asleep.
