The Haunting of Forest Lane

Chapter Twenty

The next morning Danielle woke up and went downstairs and found Camden crying being held by Lauren.

"What's going on?"

"Camz had another dream or vision about dying, she drowned this time, either this was something that was shown to her by Cassidy or because we opened that room up, I'm not entirely for sure, but maybe it was a mistake."

Danielle sat down and stroked her hair.

"Did anything happen last night?"

Lauren shook her head, "not really no, just the normal creaks and cracks of the house. I slept through the night until about 30 minutes ago when I woke up to Camden screaming and she came running down here, so I came down to hold her and calm her down."

Then all 3 girls heard the sound of Amani throwing up in the bathroom, upstairs.

"Shit gotta go!" 

Danielle ran upstairs to the bathroom when she opened the bathroom door, Amani was sitting with her head hovering over the toilet."

"Amani, are you okay baby girl?"

She sat up and wiped her eyes, "I'm fine don't worry about me, can I get some privacy please?"

She hardly finished that sentence before she started throwing up again, Danielle didn't leave she held back Amani's hair and rubbed her back.

"Did you eat something bad or did you drink at all last night?"

Amani shook her head and shut the toilet lid and fell weakly into Danielle's arms. She picked her up and took her back to the bedroom and Danielle rubbed her stomach. 

"Danielle please don't do that please."

"Why?"

"Cause I said don't do it!" Amani said with fury present in her voice.  

Danielle took her hand away from Amani's stomach. They sat a few moments in silence until Amani started crying.

"Danielle, I need to talk to you."

Danielle sat up with nervousness, "What's wrong?"

"I know you're gonna hate me and you have the right to leave me, or kick me out of the house I'll go, I just can't keep this a secret anymore it's eating me alive."

Danielle started sweating, "Amani, what's going on?"

"This isn't an easy conversation for me to have. Right after we moved in here I was struggling with a dance, the night I locked myself in my bedroom the first night we were here. I left early that next morning before anyone noticed I was gone, and was back in bed before anyone woke up.I went to school and a classmate helped me with a dance, and I didn't have any money with me and I couldn't pay him, so I paid him in another way so we had sex. He didn't wear a condom he didn't have any and I really needed help so against my better judgment-"

Danielle's eyes got wide, "oh my god you're fucking pregnant! That's why you stopped dancing and that's why I can't cuddle with you with my hand around your stomach You have morning sickness you're a bitch I can't believe you, what the fuck Mani!"

"Dani, yes okay I'm pregnant. I'm 13 weeks. I didn't want to tell you because I don't want you to leave me but i obviously can't keep this secret forever everyone will find out. Danielle I do want you to know, I've been faithful to you. I did this before you came in and saw me changing and before we started anything. I told the guy and he's working for Kayne West now. He told me he would send me money for an abortion. I just found out less than a week ago, and I really don't think having a baby right now would be the smartest idea."
