Lauren left the house taking her phone and wallet, she grabbed a pair of Camden's sandals on the way out. Nick had all the girls exit the tent and tried to interrogate Camden on what had happened in her dream.
"Camden, can you tell me what happened?"
"Bad."
Danielle wrapped her arm around her, "Nick it's 3am. I don't think she wants to talk."
Amani looked at Camden who had her eyes closed but she was breathing heavy, "Cam are you okay?"
As Amani got closer she nodded.
Ally sat by nick and tried to reason with him, "listen, this type of thing is common with Camden, she takes a while to recover sometimes. She needs space she will talk when she's ready."
All the girls went back to sleep, Amani and Ally fell asleep in the tent, Camden was terrified to go back in, Danielle made a makeshift fort out of the extra blankets in the living room. She stayed close to Danielle the whole time.
"Here I found your pillow pet from middle school I bought you when you turned 13."
Camden hugged the unicorn pillow pet close to her. She hadn't seen that thing in years.
Danielle laid down in the fort she made and Camden followed her and laid close.
"Cam, I love you, tonight Lauren that wasn't her you know that. I don't know what happened but that wasn't her. We know that. You're safe with me. I'm Danielle Jane, Your best friend for forever, the only person who will turn on Taylor Swift for you when I'm jamming to Beyonce. Try and sleep for me okay. We're gonna leave the lights on so you're not so scared, and if you do get scared we are here right here okay? Nick is too. No need to be scared."
She singed I love you with her hand and grabbed a blanket and fell asleep on Danielle's upper arm.
Danielle made sure Camden went to sleep before she did. Everyone was worried about Camden but seeing her this scared and watching Lauren just leave like she did really hurt her. Danielle would do whatever she needed to do to protect Camden.
Ally woke up around 5:30. She peeked out of the tent and realized Lauren's Jaguar keys were missing.
She gently shook Amani awake, "hey don't wake the other girls or Nick, I'm gonna drive and see if I can find Lauren okay?"
"Just be careful Ally, she's not Lauren right now."
She nodded, "I know but she's in there somewhere and I don't want her getting hurt, and she might need help to come back to herself. You know how it is."
"Like I said be careful. We have enough going on with Camden right now. She's not coming out of this one very easy. This is gonna take all of us, all of our attention. Please be careful don't let anything happen to you. Love you Ally."
She hugged Amani, "I know and I'll be home so soon you won't even know I'm gone, but I need to bring Lauren back as Lauren so she can help us with Camden and we can figure out her nightmare. Love you too Mani."
She quietly closed the door, walked to her truck once she was in she called Lauren, and to her surprise she answered after 2 rings.
"Lauren?"
"Ally? What are you doing?"
"Coming after you. Where are you?"
Ally pulled out of the driveway and waited for Lauren to answer.
"Blackwell street, I don't know how I ended up here. I didn't feel anyone possessing me when I yelled at Camden like usual, but I didn't feel like I had control over anything that I was saying or doing. I know I did grab Camden's shoes but we share everything. I felt like I needed to calm down because I was boiling for some reason. How is Cam?"
"I don't know Lauren, she can only take so much, she's so tired. Danielle made her a fort with blankets in the living room, she fell asleep with her I fell asleep in the tent with Amani. Cam isn't talking to us very much. Nick asked her about her dream and all she said was bad."
"Ally can I ask you something?"
"Anything, what's up?"
Lauren sighed, "do you think Camden ever fakes a nightmare or anything paranormal for attention?"
"Camden? No. She's genuinely scared when something happens. She used to be so bubbly and happy, anymore that's not her. I miss how Camden was. Lauren? Where are you? It's really foggy I can't see anything."
"I'm at the coffee shop on 3rd street, it's not foggy here. Are you sure you're okay?"
Ally's voice became shaky, "I can be there in like 10 minutes I'm on cherry hill right now, it's just so foggy, I literally can't see 5 feet in front of me."
"Ally just breathe, you must be in a low spot. I'll stay on the phone with you until you get here. I'm waiting in my car."
A few minutes of silence went by and ally let out a scream.
"oh my god!"
Lauren heard Ally's phone getting tossed around, she never heard Ally use God's name in a sentence like that, she knew she must of gotten into an accident.
"Ally! Allyson! Ally! Answer me!"
The phone line was silent for a few moments until she heard rustling and the phone being picked up.
"Ally! Ally! Are you okay?"
A demonic voice chuckled, "no, not Ally. Your little friend is gone, you'll be next with your precious little girlfriend Camden. You can't save everyone Lauren. Goodbye."
The phone call ended and left Lauren screaming in her car alone.
