HIRAETH'S POV
He just nodded as a sign of response. But dad, tommorow is mom's death anniversary." I stopped packing up my luggage.
"I know, but maiintindihan ka naman niya anak... It's for your own good." he said while patting my head as he smiled softly towards me.
"Just promise me dad na bibisitahin mo si mama bukas." I looked at his eyes who are now looking back at me.
"Yes I promise." his eyes softened, reassuring me that I do not have to worry about it.
Dad told me to go there by my own, he left me with no money and no driver.
"If you see a small banner, then you're on the right direction." Is what my dad said pero saan ko naman mahahanap yung banner na yon? Ang daming pwedeng daanan and I could get lost.
I continued going on a straight direction, not turning on any streets that I see.
And there I saw the little banner sa isang poste. I guess I made the right decision, my luck never disappoints me.
I felt a different atmosphere as I continue to go straight ahead, not really minding the red line I just crossed on.
May nakita nanaman akong maliit na banner sa isang poste, I thought I saw paper so I came closer and read the contents of it, Ayso High, that's what written there. so I guess malapit na ako sa school na papasukan ko.
"Excuse me Miss, are you lost?" where did this guy come from?
"Ahmm, Hi?" He spoke again, this time while doing hand signs.
"What are you doing?" tanong ko sakanya.
"Hand Signs, akala ko kasi bingi ka." he said while scratching the back of his head.
"I'm not, I heard you the first time." I said, still examining his face. I may look like a creep right now pero hindi ko kasi inexpect na may lalaking ganito kaganda ang postura ng mukha sa maladisyertong lugar na ito.
"So, you're lost?" he asked again.
Am I right?" patanong kong sabi.
I can't see his whole face because of the glasses but I'm sure that he's looking at me curiously right now.
"My cousin is there, I got expelled sa previous school ko." tumingin ako sa kalye na pinagdaanan ko at binalik ulit ang tingin sakanya.
"So, you're a badass?" a slight smile formed in his face, as if he is teasing me. "Ah no, there isn't a badass who wears glasses."
