Before Jennie could react, Lisa's dark figure closed in on her.

This handsome man was strangely calm as he embraced her. Despite the slight displeasure in his tone of voice, it was obvious that he was deliberately suppressing his emotions. He spoke to her quietly, "Why are you still holding the rose? Be careful of its thorns!"

Jennie was baffled. From the moment she accepted the rose from Kai, she had been holding it in her hand till her palm was sweating!

"It's from Big Brother Kai. I can't be seen throwing it away in front of him..."

Her tone was bland, without a trace of uneasiness.

It seemed that to her, this rose was no different from other flowers.

It was not out of the line for Jennie to call him Brother Kai. Hanbin was promiscuous and unruly, and every time he visited her in prison, apart from swearing irritably about Lisa, the Manoban Family, and the Kim Family from Capital for not having any consideration about their friendship, he had hardly brought her any comfort.

Kai, on the other hand, besides fulfilling his duties as an attorney, would comfort and encouraged her like a big brother.

Listening to her bland tone, Lisa's sharp chin fondled Jennie's head. He held her head against his warm chest and whispered, "It's been a long time since you last called me Brother Lisa..."

Jennie was speechless. "..."

Jennie's shoulders were stiff. She did not even have the strength to place her arms on Lisa's waist but just let them hung loosely by the side.

To her, these two words, Brother Lisa, was like a mantra she would keep repeating two years back, but now, she really could not mutter it out...

Jennie did not know how to describe her emotions this moment. Her black eyes glanced across Lisa's exceedingly handsome and captivating face, and her soft voice was extremely pleasant to his ears.

Seeing her feeling embarrassed but yet still looking mesmerizing, he was entangled deep within.

Dissatisfied with her always deliberately and struggling to keep a distance, he wanted to teach her a lesson, yet he had no resistance for her soft and gentle voice.

Lisa calmed himself down and suppressed his tone to not frighten her. "Then, I'll teach you tonight when we are back home."

Jennie's face immediately blushed. The hunger showed radiantly in Lisa's gaze.

Regarding matters in bed, Lisa had always been the dominant one. Although Jennie was passively engaged, she would still be aroused by him and be caught in the frenzy in the end.

Jennie was afraid of that part of her losing herself and moaning under him without any scruples.

She knew very well that he was poisonous and had once brought her doom, yet she was unable to control herself.

Noticing that Jennie understood his meaning, Lisa proudly smiled. She had on a peach color lipstick today, and the fair and delicate woman was now extremely shy like a peach blossom.

At the other end of the hall, Jisoo was caught up with a few young ladies of the aristocratic families as they mustered up their courage and tried to flirt with this mysterious gentleman from the Capital City.

It was not surprising that people were not familiar with Jisoo. First of all, because of the military status and the meritorious service of the Kim Family of Capital, he had no choice but to maintain a low profile; secondly, Luo Hai was not Kim Family's territory as most of the Kim Family's power and forces were located in the Capital City.

As to why the young ladies had their eyes on this mysterious low-key handsome was that they figured that those who were eligible to attend the Manoban Family's banquet must either be rich or distinguished. What more, this gentleman was having a lively conversation with Lisa earlier on, so he must be someone with a prestigious status!

Amongst the young men of the aristocratic families in Luo Hai, Lisa and Taecyeon were already taken. Putting aside those who were once married or were in-laws, there were hardly any such brilliant gentlemen left in Luo Hai.

Jisoo was a wolf in sheep's clothing. He would not refuse any of those who approached him, and the more the better. Since the women in Luo Hai were all pretty and delicate with fair skin akin to lotus flowers which just bloomed from the waters, he definitely did not mind the enjoyable company to chat and drink with him.

Only Lisa knew how difficult it was to win this man's heart.
