Chapter 143

The distinct hickey on Jennie's neck and the bite marks made the situation crystal clear.

Lisa was certain that he was not the one who had left them there.

His gaze lingered there for a moment while an unprecedented sense of humiliation poured out from the bottom of his heart.

The slightest bit of irrationality was enough to these sparks of jealousy ablaze.

However, the final barrier in Lisa's heart collapsed when he saw that glaring mark.

He did not believe those photos when he initially saw them.

He wanted Yan Jun to trace the source of the photos so he could teach that person a lesson and show them that they could not use such lowly means to destroy the relationship between Jennie and himself.

Throughout the meal and shower, he was doing his best to calm himself down. He could forgive Jennie for meeting Kai in his absence and could even pardon them for any dubious feelings that they Occasionally harbored for each other.

However, these thoughts immediately vanished when he saw that distinct bite mark.

"Is there nothing else aside from that?"

Lisa's gaze was dangerous and fiery. The stubborn man's eyes repeatedly swept across Jennie. He was confused as he could not believe
that this woman would betray him.

Jennie briefly hesitated when she saw his dark pupils dilating. Furthermore, the smell of smoke seemed to permeate from his lean body.

Now that things had escalated to this point, Jennie felt that she should not hide it from him anymore. Why would she need to fear the devil if she had not done anything wrong?

She quietly said, "I went to see Brother Kai in the afternoon and returned after we ate..."

So, it was Kai after all! The scenes in those pictures once again surfaced in Lisa's mind. His breathing started becoming uneven and he faintly smiled before stretching out his large warm hands and grasping Jennie's little face. His fingers lingered on the corners of Jennie's red lips before the friction from his rough fingertips made Jennie lightly tremble.

Since she could not read his thoughts, she could only bide her time and wait for him to continue.

"Did you really just have a meal? Or..." Lisa intentionally paused as he stared into Jennie's eyes. "Did you perhaps enjoy a meal while he enjoyed you instead? Hmm?"

Lisa's tone was gentle but the anger and murderous intent were evident.

"Huh?" Jennie only understood what he meant after a briet pause. Was he implying that she had been defiled?

"What nonsense is that? I merely had an innocent meal with him. What else are you imagining? You've been unpredictable ever since you returned and didn't say a single word to me. However, now you're spouting weird things now that you have something to say! If you're looking for reasons to starta fight, leave me out of it because l'm not going to entertain you!"

Jennie was slightly annoyed now that she had somewhat figured things out. If this man had sent someone to follow her, did that mean thathe would get his revenge when the opportunity arose?

Hmph! Why did she have to get his permission to speak to others? It was as if she was his pet.

Jennie pushed his arnm away and turned her body before arrogantly walking upstairs.

She had initially wanted to sleep in the master bedroom with him to overcome her fears despite the fact that Lisa had almost raped her on that exact same bed last night. However, she had never expected Lisa to behave like this upon his return.

In any case, it looked like she did not have to inconvenience herself by sleeping in the master bedroom anymore tonight. She would rather let this paranoid man go to hell.

Jennie went to the master bedroom to take her pillow and blankets before carrying them to the next room. She was still furious at his words when she wrapped herself under the covers.

Was he insane?

She merely had a meal with Kai!

Since her heart was still full of resentment, Jennie's exhaustion soon vanished as she tossed and turned on the bed.

Rustling noises echoed out from the master bedroom before the terrifying sound of falling items suddenly drifted made her jump. Jennie was terribly shocked. Nonetheless, Lisa had always been somewhat of a loner and had never been someone with a good temper.

However, it was extremely rare for him to lose control and go crazy. Moreover, it was even rarer for him to behave in a childish manner by breaking things to vent his anger. What exactly had happened?
