Mr. L's DILEMMA: Can't Help Falling Inlove With You

Chapter 4

The Manoban Family Mansion was located mid-hill on the Autumn View Mountain at the North Zone at Luo Hai City.

Legend had it that a Taoist Priest once practiced Feng Shui 1 on this land and said that it had the roots of an emperor. 2 Therefore, several generations of high-ranking officials and nobles had settled down in this area, forming a relatively  large scale region filled with constructions.

The Manoban Family Mansion was built in the style of Ming and Qing dynasties!

Since the ancestors of Manoban Family were once officials in Anhui, traces of Hui styled architecture could be observed on the structure of thw pavilion.

There were three different houses located at the innermost to the outermost area of the mansion. Manoban Old Mistress of the Manoban Family lived in the innermost house.

After the death of the old man, the one who lived here would be the one with the greatest and most respected status in the Manoban Family!

Manoban Old Mistress had three sons and a daughter. Lisa's father, Dong-wook, was the eldest son, Jae-wook was the second son, and Minho was the youngest son.

Dong-wook had his eldest child, Lisa, at the age of 37.

Jae-wook and Minho each had a son and a daughter!

Lisa's mother had a weak physique and was bedridden for many years. Since it was impossible for her to conceive another child, Liaa become the only successor to the eldest child of the family.

Back when Lisa was five years old, Dong-wook led an army to the West and calmed down several civil disorders. However, it was both blessing and also a misfortune!

The King's order of commendation arrived on the same day that Dong-wook was sacrificed! Lisa's mother was mourning so much that she passed away...

Old mistress pitied her grandchild since he lost his parents at such a young age. Therefore, she stayed by his side and looked after him personally!

Her affection towards him was undoubtedly greater than her otheer grandchildren.

Even so, Lisa's character still remained cold and arrogant even when he grew up to be an adult!

He avoided getting into his father's career. Perhaps because he did not receive any parental love since young, he was  more or less repulsive towards any matter regarding the military.

Manoban Family's hundred years of political rights and authority naturally fell into the hands of the second and third son!

That said, Old Mistress was actually the core of the Manoban Family. Thus, the core rights of the Manoban Family naturally fell into the hands of Lisa!

Although Lisa was not involved in politics or military, everyone clearly knew that he was the one with the utmost rights in Luo Hai City. He was barely 30 years old.

In Lisa's opinion, even if he chose to give up on polotics and venture business, he was capable to build and establish his own rightful empire!

As a matter of fact, successfully establishing a business empire had brought the Manoban Family up another level!

The car drove into the courtyard of the Manoban Mansion. Several helpers with steong physiques came forward. They all wore uniforms and had a solemn look on their faces.

The leader of the group politely said to Butler Fu, "Butler Fu, before Young Master left, he sent me to give you a message. Upon your return, please bring Young Mistress to the Hibiscus Garden to rest and do not disturb Old Mistress"

Butler Fu nodded and waved his hands at the few helpers, "I understand. The few of you, stay alert and guard the garden well! Do not let anyone enter and leave without permission!"

The few of them acknowledged him with a solemn look.

Jenniw smiled lightly. This was a hint that she will not be able to leave without permission after entering the garden.

Of course, shw knew about the Hibiscus Garden. It was a small house where the Old Mistress personally built for Lisa after he became an adult.  It was located right beside the core building of the garden!

Lisa instructed her to go to the Hibiscus Garden, yet he did not want her to bother the Old Mistress. It was clearly because of the "scandal" from two years ago.

Despite the social status of Manoban Family, the wife to their noble successor was actually a "murderer"?

Back then, the Old Mistress was extremely furious and she wanted to cancel the wedding!

Jennie thought that they would have definitely divorced her, so she waited in prison for the Manoban Family to send a divorce agreement. Unexpectedly, after waiting for long, they did not did so!!

Moreover, Lisa actually brought her back here and her identity was still the incomparably noble Young Mistress. Even Jennie herself found that difficult to believe!

At this point, how could the Manoban Family allowed such a tainted woman to become their daughter-in-law? Jennie remained puzzled even after pondering over it repeatedly.

There was only one rational explanation to all these unreasonable situations.

Thee reason why she was brought back to the Hibiscus Garden could be another form of punishment that Lisa had planned!!

Due to the lack of evidence, the prosecutors allegations had failed?

She knew clearlt in her heart that the lack of evidence was just an excuse!

The evidence will never be enough because she never murdered anybody. Furthermore, she will never do something so cruel to the fetus' body.

However, a 700-day long of jail time punishment still befell on her!

Public opinion was still accusing towards her.

Even she would not able to figure it out in one or two days, but she finally understood a fact after 700 days. Wether or not she was guilty, it all depended on Lisa's words!!
