When Jennie left the French restaurant and saw that it was still early, she strolled around the streets for a while and bought some lighter clothes for the new season.

If everything went smoothly, she could start work in spring.

A normal frontline reporter could not go to work in a Chanel or Dior suit. Thus, Jennie bought herself some clothes and shoes from average, everyday brands. She also bought numerous sets of youthful and feminine clothes for Ah Fu while she was at it.

When she returned to Hibiscus Garden, she saw Lisa's haunting sports car parked in the garage.

This was Lisa's favorite car. The silver body of the vehicle was exceptionally eye-catching, and Lisa would usually drive this car when he went away on long trips.

Jennie was slightly suspicious when she saw that he had already returned. Was he not supposed to be gone for four days? Why was he already back although it was only the third day?

Yeji had not informed her in advance either.

Jennie had a terrible feeling...

When she saw Jennie carrying bags of various sizes while entering through the front door, Ah Fu hastily trotted over and took the bundles. Her eyes lingered in the direction of the second floor before she whispered, "Young Master has returned but he seems somewhat unhappy..."

Jennie glanced upstairs while the uneasiness in her heart grew more intense. However, she maintained her composure. She exchanged a few words with Ah Fu before she too went upstairs.

When she walked past the study room, Jennie saw Lisa on the computer. His slim figure seemed anxious while his slender fingers tapped away on the keyboard. When his eyes darted upward and saw Jennie standing stiffly at the doorway, his gaze lingered on her for a brief moment before he hurriedly turned back to his screen...

Jennie faintly smiled. It looked like Young Master did not have a good time during his trip to Liu Li Villa.

Since she was quite tired as her entire body had been attacked by the chilly air throughout the day. Thus, Jennie went to the bathroom to take a bath without stopping by to say hello.

Meanwhile, Lisa himself only went downstairs after Ah Fu had loudly called for him twice after she had finished preparing breakfast.

He happened to see that Jennie and Ah Fu, the mistress and her servant, quietly chatting in the hall downstairs. Ah Fu looked extremely excited.

"Thank you, madam... I've never bought so many clothes before.."

Jennie knew that Ah Fu had been an orphan ever since she was a child. Despite this, Butler Fu had not spent much of the ample salary that he received from the Manoban Family on his granddaughter. Moreover, he did not even allow her to complete her schooling before he made her serve the Manoban Family here alongside him.

As she was buying the clothes today, Jennie remembered that at the end of the day, Ah Fu was still a child. Hence, she bought her some youthful and feminine outfits, because she knew that all the girls her age liked new clothes.

Ah Fu jumped for joy and did not notice when Lisa descended from upstairs.

Lisa leaned against the railing at the foot of the stairs. He had changed into a set of dark gray clothes that he wore at home. His slender thighs were gently crossed while both his hands were stuffed in his pockets, making him appear carefree but distant. His dark gaze was attentively fixed on the woman's indifferent face.

She cared so deeply about the wellbeing of a mere maid but had no space for him in her heart.

The images that he could not erase from his mind put him in a terribly bad mood. The man's face darkened even further as he ignored both the women and walked straight toward the dining room.

Ah Fu frantically suppressed her excitement when she saw that the Young Master had already come downstairs. Then, she obediently went to the kitchen to bring out the dishes.

Jennie sensed that Lisa was in a foul mood. Furthermore, he treated her like a stranger when he saw her. She sighed to herself. 'What is he mad about now?'
