Taecyeon's words pierced Jennie's heart directly!
His voice was soft, so his words only traveled enough for the four
people to hear, leaving out Old Mistress and the others.
Lisa's face darkened. The handsome man's upturned eyes
turned frigid cold staring at Taecyeon. It was as if the moment Taecyeon continued speaking, he would kill him!
Before Lisa could say anything, Jennie smirked and shook
the cell phone in her hand.
Taecyeon was taken aback a little. Seeing that he understood her
intention, Jennie continued, "You're right. These words are so
classic, I want to record them with my phone so I can replay it in the
future!"
Taecyeon saw Jennie's cell phone and remembered the other day
when he failed, his actions were all recorded by this lady!
Right now, Jennie was reminding him that his weak spot was still
held in her hands. If he kept on going and his scandal was exposed, not
even Old Mistress could save him!
Beads of cold sweat formed on Taecyeon's forehead, immediately
dousing his condescending manner!
Lisa stared at Taecyeon patronizingly. After Jennie had
finished speaking, he was confused, but he did not betray anything
from his facial expression.
"Daughter of Woo-bin, you're good. Your actions still pull their
weights, I see!" Not willing to give up, Taecyeon mentioned Woo-bin
again!
Jennie's face flushed a sickly sallow!
Lisa said suddenly, "Brother, how are you doing, career-wise?"
Taecyeon's face changed drastically. His eyes were wide and his jaw
was clenched as he said, "I'm doing well!"
"Oh, how did I hear about the recent bad press?" asked Lisa as
he smiled mysteriously facing Jae-wook's direction...
Taecyeon's jaw was clenched tight. He did not think that a tiny family
gathering would turn into a theater for a political power struggle. He
had yet to prepare the script for it, so he was a little flustered!
"I don't understand what you're saying!" Taecyeon lowered his voice
dangerously!
They were all avoiding Old Mistress consciously.
The descendants ofManoban Family could fight among each other, but they should never show
that to Old Mistress! The rigid familial rule of old had already been
deeply ingrained in their hearts.
"I was just reminding you. Deputy Mayor Chen's hotline almost
exploded with complaints, and even the public opinion monitoring
mailbox was filled to the brim with complaints of some new
delinquents' misbehaviors!"
Lisa paused before continuing at the direction of Jae-wook.
"Brother, your fame will attract inspection, you should leave those
people for your safety! If things go south and were exposed, it's not
only Manoban Family's fame that will be involved!"
Lisa canted lightly, with grace and elegance. His chilling gaze
shrank his eyes to a single slender line, emitting an attractive aura, complementing his knife-sharp features.
Taecyeon was pressed by Lisa's intimidation and had seen his
father staring over anxiously!
He understood. His trips to Lan Kwai Fong had not gone unnoticed.
The pictures that were taken there had been sent to discipline
commissioners. No other people would have done it, it must be Lisa!
He lowered his voice and said with a smile, "Little tricks like that are
not worth my while!"
Lisa's little tricks were not that clever! With his father on top of
the food chain, Lisa could not use Taecyeon!
"Mm, I understand. How could brother do something like that? The
men of Manoban Family were all upstanding members of the society. Tricks
and improper conducts will never be a part of the Manoban Family!"
Having said that, Lisa paused, his eyes flashing a hint ofruthlessness!
"My only concern is of those loud, petty people. This is just a warning
in case there are bigger threats in the future!"
Lisa's warning was simple and straightforward!-------------------------------------
