Lisa saw that Jennie was still staring and waiting for him

when he came out wrapped in a bath towel.

She glanced at his strong and lean, fat-less physique, which was

bursting with sexual appeal. Jennie hurriedly turned her

embarrassed little face towards one side.

Lisa reached out and hugged her by her slim waist before he

allowed her head to rest on his arm. He lowered his voice and

regretfully said, "The thing that happened earlier, that was an

accident!"

Jennie quietly laughed and buried her head against his waist

before her tone turned melancholic as she gently said, "Your usual

violent and ruthless manner was too much so this is good as well. Who

asked you to be so arrogant?"

Lisa could tell that she was complaining of his normal crude

style but his heart warmed up because she spoke in a coquettish tone.

When he thought of how their relationship had made him felt as if he

was treading on thin ice had now progressed to this stage, the

gloominess in his heart did not seem so bad anymore.

Although today's event was an imperfect first time, it served as a

beginning nonetheless.

He did not have to worry about the absence of a second or third time

in the future. He inwardly relaxed because he did not want to feel

regretful over wasting such a good chance anymore.

He lowered his head and kissed her forehead before he whispered,

"Dummy! This is how a man loves a woman. How would you know if I

wasn't fierce?"

Jennie's body trembled while she continued burying her cheek

against his waist so that Lisa could not see the stunned look on

her face.

The word 'love' had never been spoken between them before.

She would probably be much happier if this happened two years ago

before everything else had occurred.

When Lisa saw that she was coquettishly refusing to lift her

head, various feelings stirred and swelled at the bottom of his heart.

He wrapped a stray strand of her hair around his fingertip before he

praised her, saying, "Very pretty!"

When Jennie knew that he was complimenting her new

hairstyle, the woman quietly laughed when she could not help but

remember Yan Jiangsheng comments towards her.

"What's so funny?" "Huh?"

"Nothing! I just met an old friend when I was getting my hair styled

today and I thought of something funny."

Jennie did not dare to speak about Yeji and Yan

Jiangsheng who, behind his back, seemingly described him like a

powerful deity who was trying to break up a couple.

Since Lisa knew that she did not have many old friends in Luo

Hai, he guessed that this was probably related to Yeji. Hence, he

did not ask many questions when he noticed that she did not

elaborate. He hugged her around her shoulders and quietly sighed, "Is everything alright now? Will my wife forgive me for my rough behavior that day?"

Jennie's heart was moved when she heard the cautiousness in

his tone.

Lisa had always been proud. She had even heard Kai mention

that he had never seen him admit defeat even when he was in a

dangerous situation in England. However, was he not yielding to her

today?

Jennie's voice was slightly choked when she quietly said, "I want

to go and see my father at the cemetery tomorrow..."

If there were thorns that could not be removed from Jennie and

Lisa's hearts, then Jennie's dad's death could definitely be

considered as the most serious one.

Lisa tightened his arm around Jennie's shoulders while a

hint of sternness and anger flashed across his face. It seemed as

though his heart had encountered a critical hit that caused the dark

fog that had recently vanished to gather once again.

He understood in his heart that she had apparently taken the initiative

to break the ice because of a later goal.

Every instance of this woman's spontaneous gentleness definitely

harbored specific aims.

"Okay, do you need me to send someone to accompany you?"

He suppressed his emotions before he slowly opened his mouth to

speak.

Regardless of how she had changed, he still doted on his own woman.

Jennie hurriedly shook her head and declined, saying, "It'll be

fine for me to go alone. I'll drive there because I want to speak to my

father. I'll probably be anxious if you send someone to follow me."

Lisa's heart faintly quivered. He combed Jennie's hair

before he whispered, "Tell your father that you're well."

Jennie nodded while complicated feelings secretly surged

through her thoughts.

...

The note that Feng Rao had given her wrote: Hanbin will be

waiting for you at the cemetery at 8 in the morning tomorrow...
