He was clearly a man who loved a good view. And knew just how to set the mood.
"This is only a sample of what I'm trying to give you Fallon. I've been telling you for years, how I feel about you. And you granted me just one weekend to finally show you, so that's what I'm doing." He said taking a sip of his wine.
"We have come a long ways." I said reflecting.

2016

"Fallon stop moping around. This is our first homecoming at A&M and you're about to ruin it for us." Sevyn said stomping in aggravation.
"What am I suppose to do? My feelings are hurt!" I exclaimed.
"Girl find you one of these fine southern texas athletes and forget about old ass Rashad!" Jon said.
"I can't forget about him." I said lowly.
This was our first homecoming here at Texas A&M, and here I was in a depression. Because my on and off again fling Rashad was playing me to the left once again. He is only four years older than we are, so I don't know why they insisted on acting as if he was so old.
"You better. You think he laid up with his baby mama thinking about you? I think not." Jon said swaying his hips to the music.
"He's not laid up with her. He's spending time with his daughter." I explained.
"Fal I'm with Jon. You sound crazy as hell right now. And honestly if you gone keep it up you should just go back to the dorm." She said.

Rolling my eyes I shrugged doing just that. Walking across the campus I made it to my dorm, going in and locking the door behind me.
Flopping down on the bed I decided to call Rashad. It went straight to voicemail.
"What the fuck?" I asked myself looking at the phone. Deciding to call again.
"What's up Fallon? I told you I was getting my daughter this weekend. Don't you got some homecoming events to be at?" He rushed out at me.
"Hello to you too." I snapped. "I can't even enjoy my homecoming weekend because of how you doing me right now Rashad!" I said.
"I'm not doing you no kind of way." He said.
"Who is that love?" I heard a female voice in the background and pulled the phone away from my ear to make sure I hadn't called someone else on accident.
"Rashad!?" I yelled into the the phone.
"Look I gotta go." He said and with that hung up on me.

Feeling angry, I jumped back out the bed. Heading back out the dorm.
There was no way in hell, I was about to let this man dog me out and I was going to just sit up in the room crying about it all night.
Walking across campus, towards the concert I was walking with a purpose looking for my friends. Deciding to call them I realized I left my phone in the dorm. Looking up a tall figured bumped into me, almost knocking me off my feet.
"My bad mama, you good?" He asked me, helping me to regain my balance. He was fine and tall as hell, amongst all his tall ass friends.
"I'm fine." I said pulling away from him.
"You are definitely that." One of his friends said. Rolling my eyes I tried to look past their tall frames to see if I could see my friends anywhere.
"Looking for someone?" The tall guy asked me.
"My friends, if you will excuse me." I said.
"I can help you find them so you aren't out here all alone." He offered.
"I don't even know you." I said looking him up and down.
"I'm Josiah." He said extending his hand smiling at me.
"Fallon." I said reluctantly shaking his hand back.
"Nice to meet you Fallon." He said. "Imma catch up with y'all later. Imma help her find her people." He said to his friends getting a look from me.
"Did I ask for help?" I asked him.
"Nah but you like 3 ft tall. Figured you might need it." He said chuckling as we began walking through the crowd on the search for my friends.

"So you from Texas?" He asked me. And I cut my eyes. Know this nigga is not tryna make small talk.
"Yup." I said popping the P.
"Oh yeah? What part?" He asked.
"Beaumont."
"Never heard of it."
"Clearly you're not from here." I said chuckling.
"Nah I'm from California."
"Oh wow. Long ways away from home yeah?"
"Yeah."
"What brings you to Texas?"
"I got a full ride scholarship to UT."
"Oh wow. That's impressive. Academic or?"
"Nah nah. Basketball."
"Figured you're kind of tall."
"Yeah." He said smiling before a look of fear came across his face. "I know we barely know each other but I need a huge favor."
"What?" I asked with an attitude.
"This girl been on me since I got on campus. We talked all of one week, and she's crazy. Please just say you're my girl." He begged. "What is she even doing here?" He asked himself.
"Boy you must be crazy. What if she wants to fight?" I asked.

He was about to speak but a light skin girl and her friends approached us.
"Why are you dodging me Josiah?" She asked with her hand on her hip.
"Uh actually..."He stuttered looking down at me.
"Who is this babe?" I asked him in a fake sweet voice draping my arm around his waist.
"Babe?" One of her friend's said, as all of their attention fell on me.
"Tayvin, but Josiah knows me by Tay." She spoke giving a fake smile.
"Leilani." I said smiling back. "But Tay doesn't ring a bell." I said stroking my chin like any of these damn people would even be relatively familiar.
"Yeah baby she's my friend from UT." He said.
"Friend?" Her friend asked.
"How long have you all been dating?"Tayvin asked.
"Girl years. We're high school sweethearts. We got a baby sitter for the night so we decided to step out. You know how that goes." I said laughing and her eyes grew wide.
"Baby sitter?" She asked.
"Yeah, our little girl Jalani." Josiah added and I almost bust out laughing. He came with that name with a quickness.
"She's only five months but we deserve a night out too you know." I lied.
"Yeah well y'all have fun. I'll see you around Josiah." She said pulling her friends along.

"Jalani?" I asked.
"Hell you put me on the spot."
"Yeah girls don't like niggas with kids." I said honestly.
"I feel that. Well thank you for helping me."
"Fallon! I thought you went back to the dorm." Sevyn said walking up to us.
"She found something alright." Jon said looking at Josiah.
"H.E.R is getting ready to perform so come on." She said pulling me along. I sent Josiah a wave as he grew farther and farther.

"Im so glad I didn't let you slip away that night." Josiah said snapping me out my thoughts.
"Me too." I said looking him over. Climbing in his lap I began to kiss him intensely. "Im ready to get back to your apartment." I said lowly.
"Uh ok." He said running his hand under my dress.

I didn't know if I was ready for what may be in store for the night. But it felt too late to turn back now.
