Fallon
One month later. There was a knock at the door. Rylan had stepped out with Rico and Trey for a basketball game so it was just me here. Getting off the couch I went to retrieve the door.
"Hi Fallon." She spoke as I opened the door.
"Isabella." I said.
"I was coming by to talk to Rylan about something but I didn't see his car." She said.
"He's not home." I said looking her over.
"Okay cool I'll just text him or something."
"You wanna come in and wait on him or is what y'all need to discuss too confidential for his fiancé?" I asked sarcastically.
"It's not like that. There's just certain things he has specifically asked me not discuss around or to you. And I'm just trying to respect it." She said.
"Things like what?" I asked and she fell quiet.
"Can I come in?" She asked. Opening the door wider I let her in. "Fallon I think you're a sweet girl, and I used to be like you once with my husband. I couldn't trust him for anything in this world. He died but sometimes I find myself wishing I had just trusted him." She said.
"You're saying this to say what? It's not him I don't trust it's you." I said.
"I get that I do, that's why I'm trying to be as transparent as possible without being unloyal to Rylan. But I want you to trust that we are just business partners." She said.
"Then tell me what it is that you came all the way to our house to tell him?" I said taking a seat on the bar stool.
"So as you may or may not know I'm training under Rylan to become a sniper which he has trained me really well on. He executes it to perfection and I was curious how. We had conversations about life as a hit man, and I've unfortunately seen him in action." She said and I cringed at the thought.
"Well I've started taking interest in being a hit man myself. He makes it look easy, and he's wanting to step down from his position but he knows Fabe will only let him, if he trust the person taking his spot that's the only reason he's agreed to train me." She had my full attention at he was stepping down.
"Well recently since we got back to the states there has been some territory issues. We can't push product in a certain territory because a certain crew has it. Based off very minor details from Rico and Rylan, they have history with this crew and when it's time to take the territory it could start a blood bath if things aren't done carefully." She said.
"A blood bath? Are they in danger?" I asked feeling worried and wondering why he had me around here living untouchable.
"Fallon please do not repeat any of this. Rylan is doing everything to keep you safe and away from all of this. If he finds out I told you, he will probably kill me he is that serious about you not knowing." She said and I could see the fear in her eyes.
"I won't." I said. "Tell me more about this territory."
"Well I came by to tell Rylan that the undercover work he had me doing was paying off and I found out some information."
"What?" I asked.
"The king pin of that territory has a personal vendetta against Rylan. So it's going to come down to kill or be killed." She said and the front door opened. Her eyes widened and I shook my head.
"Don't say anything." I mouthed to her. Rylan, Rico, and Trey walked through the front door."What's up?" Rylan said frowning at Isabella. Kissing my lips he looked between the two of us.
"She stopped by to have a conversation with me woman to woman." I lied.
"Is that right? And how did that go?" He asked.
"I don't see any blood, hair or missing nails. So I'd say it went well." Rico said dapping Isabella.
"Everything is good." I said.
"Yeah everything is good." Isabella said. "I'll get up with y'all later." She said to Rico and Rylan.
"You gotta come play with Canyon sometimes. He said he misses his friend." She said to Trey.
"I will. As soon as my dad or uncle Ry brings me." He said as he gave her a hug.
"Here let me walk you out." I said, following behind her. Stepping outside I closed the door behind me.
"Let me put my number in your phone. Rylan is not including me in things I need to know. I need you to help keep me included." I said to Isabella.
"I don't know Fallon, he was very adamant about you knowing about this." She said nervously.
"I won't say anything you don't." I said.
"Fine." She said. Passing her my phone she typed her number in, calling herself. "I have your number saved." She said hurrying to her car.
