Christian's POV - 18 June 2019 (Tuesday).

06h37. That is what the watch on my wrist read. Another night spent busting my poor ass off at work, why do I do this to myself though? Yes, because I don't have a choice but to. At this rate, tired does not even begin to describe what I am feeling. I feel like a zombie.

"Thank you for staying till this late Chris, I really appreciate it" Uncle Mark says.

"No problem Mark, I have school in a couple of hours so I need to get going" I say, already slinging my backpack over my shoulder.

"Why do you still bother yourself with that Christian, I mean you are already working for me? Give yourself a break" Mark enquires.

"I really don't want to do this forever Mark..." I respond, trying my best not to sound ungrateful.

Mark nods in understanding, "Well, see yourself out then" he says.

I head out of the club, speed walking towards my car. See, if I don't get home soon, not only will I be late for school, but Isabella will be as well.

And I know to never do that, I'm a responsible brother.

"Bye Christian, enjoy your day" Isabella says, waving enthusiastically.

"You too Bella, I'll see you later" I respond, driving off.

It's 07h57 now, and that means I only have 3 minutes before the first period begins. Well, I guess I'm going to be late, again. Not that it would be a shock.

After what felt like an eternity on the road, I arrive at Sunny View High, 20 minutes late. I don't even bother myself running because what difference will that make?

Shortly after, I am standing outside Mrs. Ramirez's class, putting on my best poker face, before walking into the class.

"Oh well, look who finally decided to show up" my history teacher says.

"I apologize Ma'am, I got held up" I express sincerely.

"Just take a seat Mr. King" Mrs. Ramirez states weakly.

I make my way over to my seat, silently thanking the Lord that the teacher chose peace today. She may be petite, but she can be one feisty lady, and I'm glad she chose silence over violence.

"Late again, I see" Andrew says with a disapproving look.

"Good morning to you too Pretty Boy" I retort, making the boy next to me roll his eyes.

"Stop calling me that, King" he says with an attitude. Since, I'm not in a mood to argue, or do anything school related, I just scoff and place my head on the desk, preparing myself for the slumber I was heavily deprived off.

"Why do you bother coming to school if all you're gonna do is sleep?" he snaps.

"Want all my attention to yourself?" I respond sarcastically, making his cheeks turn rosy.

"You wish. I just acknowledge the fact that we have a project to complete, and I wish you'd do the same" he says rudely.

"Well, we still have time. Just please let me sleep" I say, placing my head on the desk once more.

"What do you do at night if all you're gonna do is sleep your ass off throughout the day?" he asks, unaware of how hard that hit.

"Oh, I believe you meant to ask 'Who do I do at night?" I respond, knowing very well that it would put his rant to a halt.
