Andrew's POV – 28 November 2019 (Same Day)
He had to be kidding, right? There is no possible way that this strange man would kick Christian out of his home, especially for no particular reason.
The exchange between Christian, and the man I assume to be Antonio had given me a clear insight of the type of relationship these two have, and now I kind of understand why Christian suspected him when he had the accident. This man did not only look or reek of trouble, he is the embodiment of trouble...
"We better start packing our stuff," Ian says with a sigh as he starts walking very slowly towards his bedroom. Well technically, what's been our bedroom for the past number of weeks.
"Ian, are you sure he wasn't playing? I mean, you've been here keeping the house safe and shit, he can't just come back and kick you out..."
"Well he can Andrew" Christian interrupts harshly, "This is still his house and he decides who he wants in it, and who he doesn't."
"But that doesn't make this alright. You're basically his son..."
"I'm not his son!" he yells, making me jump in shock at the sudden outburst. "I'm not his son" he says more calmly. "And even if I was his son, the point still remains that he can kick me out if he wants to."
His explanation makes me want to march to that guy's bedroom and scream profanities at him for kicking my boyfriend out of his home, but I just couldn't bring myself to. Not when I've been in the same situation before. Not when I've been on the receiving end of being thrown out of the place you've called home for years by my own parents.
"Our parents suck" I joke, trying to ease the situation.
"Yeah, they do" he chuckles, and in a situation like this, a chuckle is more than enough. "I better go start packing..."
"Let me come help you..."
"Nope" he answers firmly, before I could even finish my sentence. "You stay here, I'll do everything" he adds, before walking away, not even affording me an opportunity to object.
Men, so controlling, the crazy voice in my head chirps in. I wish I could agree more with it, but there is an intsy tiny bit of me that likes the idea of relinquishing some control...
"Come on let's go" Christian says out of nowhere, scaring me shitless.
"What the fuck?!"
"You've been standing in the same spot that I left you in" he points out the obvious.
"Yeah! That's because I didn't expect you to be back in thirty freaking seconds!"
"I just shoved our clothes in the bags, I'll come back for the rest of our stuff some other time" he explains, and that is when I notice the two bags that he brought with him.
"What if he throws it out and it gets stolen?"
"He'll have to replace it..."
"But..."
"Baby, listen to me. Even if I wanted to take all of my shit right now, I don't have a car to help me transport these things. My uncle's house is like 30 minutes away from here by feet, and don't even get me started on Pam's house."
"Are you going to your uncle's house?" I ask slowly, no longer concerned about getting the rest of our stuff.
"Or Pam's" he adds with a nod, as my heart sinks further down my stomach. "Hey Baby, what's up?"
"I ju-" I pause, "This is gonna sound ridiculous" I move my eyes to the floor. Why did I even think that he would consider moving in with me? "Never mind."
