Christian's POV – 28 June 2019 (Friday)Have you ever been in a situation where your body is in one place but your mind is in another? Yeah, that's me right now. My body is in the history class but my mind isn't.
"Are you okay? You're really quiet," Andrew questions "and that's odd. You're rarely quiet"
It's Isabella's birthday today, and once again I'm not going to be able to throw a big party for her. I mean, I've been promising her a birthday party for some time now and it breaks my heart when the funds don't allow me to fulfil that promise.
"Are you stressed about Bee's party situation?" he asks.
See? This is why I liked this boy so much, and before you ask, yes I like Andrew. How could I not? Under all the layers that he puts up, lies a caring son of a gun. However, there's something Andrew does that makes me like him a little bit more and that's enjoying spending time with Bella. We've been working tirelessly on the project, so every time he came over, he'd make sure to spend some time with my sister. God I just love seeing them together.
"Earth to Christian" Andrew waves a hand in my face.
"Shit, I'm sorry."
"It's okay," he nods in understanding. "Is this about Isabella?"
"Yeah man, I'm so tired of disappointing her. She's wanted a party for so long and I've been promising her that she'd have it but...I can't." I explain.
"Can't your parents help?" he enquires.
"No they can't" I state lowly, feeling defeated.
"Oh," he sighs. "Why can't they help yo..."
"Andrew let it go please!" I snap slightly annoyed, only for that annoyance to be replaced by regret almost instantly. "Shit, I'm sorry Andrew."
"No it's cool, it's fine" he says with a shrug, as he diverts his gaze from me to the board, not missing the glint of sadness in them.
"Andrew, I'm..."
"Mr. King, is there anything you'd like to share with the class?" Mrs. Ramirez interrupts. Bad timing Mrs.
"No Ma'am, I apologize."
She just shakes her head disapprovingly before focusing on the papers on her desk once again.
I look at Andrew once more. "Andrew" I whisper, only for him to ignore me. Shit this hurts. "Andrew," I try again, to no avail. "Andrew," silence. "Baby," this gets his attention as he whips his head from his notes to look at me. Oh my goodness, he's blushing.
"I'm sorr..."
"You two seem desperate to be sent to detention today...is that what you want? Mr. King? Mr. Roberts?" Mrs. Ramirez questions seriously. This woman and bad timing!!
"No Mrs.," me and Andrew say simultaneously.
"This is the last warning" she says. This woman is oddly patient today, maybe it's because it's Friday. I'm pretty sure if it were any other day, she would've chewed our heads off and still drag our lifeless bodies to detention. She is one scary woman, but having Andrew ignore me is even scarier.
"I'll talk to you after class. Please" I say in finality, only to receive silence as a response, again.

The rest of the period goes by incredibly slow and after what feels like forever the bell finally rings. I'm just so glad that History period falls before lunch on Fridays.
"Should we talk here or outside?" I ask Andrew.
He slings his backpack over his shoulder and makes his way to the door, outside it is I guess.
