Andrew's POV – 19 August 2019 (Monday)

Finally my lovely grandmother has lifted the no visiting Grandpa Pat ban and I could finally see him. After what felt like months, I could finally open up to someone about what I have with Christian. I mean, I still haven't grasped the idea that I'm going out with another boy. If you grew up in an environment where homosexuality was considered the 'ultimate sin', you'd also find it difficult to familiarize yourself with the idea that you may be committing that ultimate sin. However, in this instance, I had to share these news with my grandpa because I know that his support is one thing I'm always going to have.

"Andrew" Lukas knocks on my window, startling the living crap out of me. "Roll the window down."

I follow his instructions and open the window.

"I didn't mean to scare you man, it's just that I saw you in here starring off into space...and I grew concerned" he states.

"Oh man, I'm okay. It's just that I let my thoughts consume me for a bit."

"I understand man," he nods "I've actually been meaning to talk to you Bro."

"I'm all ears" I respond.

"You know the guys have been complaining that they miss your parties," he laughs "and when was the last time we had our movie nights?" Oh so this is what it's about? See, my friends and I used to have movie nights every once in a few weeks. We'd go to the cinema to watch whatever movie recently came out, not because we really wanted to see the movie, but because we liked spending time together. But the big catch was the fact that I'd end up paying for most of the guys because I have money. Well, it's not my money but you get my point.

"We don't do all the things that we used to do ever since you started hanging out with that weirdo" he says, then laughs. Succeeding in infuriating me.

"Don't call him that" I state firmly, boring a whole into his face.

"What do you see in that weird guy anyway man? I mean, you've abandoned everything you used to do with us for him. You've stopped spending time with your girlfriend..."

"Will you shut up for one bit?!" I snap. "I stopped spending time with all of you when Olivia and Jeremy started ignoring me."

"Don't lie man, this started way before what happened between you and them" he fires back.

"Well the fact that they're ignoring me is a major contributing factor. I mean, we spend our lunches together, and having to sit in a table with people who ignore each other would just make the situation weird for you..."

"Hold up man, there's Jeremy and the rest of the guys. Yo Jeremy!" he calls out, stopping them in their tracks. "Come over here man!" They make their way over to us, while I exit the car and lock it.

"Please tell Andrew that he abandoned us way before you and Olivia started ignoring him."

"Yes that's true" Jeremy confirms.

"See, I told you Bro" Lukas says, smirking.

"Yeah yeah whatever man. If you miss me that much, just say so...I'll show up."

"Don't flatter yourself man" Lukas laughs. "By the way, you two need to iron your shit out. I can't take you giving each other the cold shoulder any longer."

At those words I redirect my gaze to Jeremy, only to find him looking at every space around me, but not at me. He's been so awkward lately, I wonder what's happening.

"Did you hear..."

Lukas stops talking when the bell sounds throughout the school, reminding us of the fact that we had a class to attend.
