Christian's POV – 25 December 2019
"Merry Christmas" Andrew whispers to me, as I continue to hold him close to me in a very tight hug.
"I can't believe this, I really can't" I sniffle, wiping away some tears. "Your grandpa rocks."
Andrew chuckles, "I know...I really wish you had met him."
"Yeah me too."
"He's the person that kinda pushed me towards being with you" he laughs, while I continue to fall deeper and deeper into the pit of confusion.
"What?" I question, loosening my grip around him so I could take a better look at him.
"I think I angered him when I broke up with you before your accident" he explains. "Then his unbearable anger pushed me to realize that I made a big mistake by letting you go" he adds.
"But I thought your grandpa passed before my accident, so how was he mad at you?"
"Dreams" he fills in. "I had a dream about him shortly after our break up, and he seemed mad. He wasn't talking and just downright ignored my presence. Then out of nowhere it started raining, and when I ran towards the door he shut me out" he clarifies.
"Woah that just gave me chills...he must have been really mad."
"Yes, and just to prove that point even further...we were in some random woods in that dream, then he walked towards a cabin when it started raining, when I followed him, he made his way inside and shut the door in my face" he pauses "and these woods that we're in, are the ones that were in the dream. Same thing with the cabin."
"If I wasn't so fond of your grandpa, I'd be totally weirded off by his power" I laugh.
"Fond?" Andrew questions, wrapping his arms around my neck.
"Yes, from everything you just told me, he's always been on Team Christian...so I have to be fond of him" I supply with a chuckle.
"Shut up!" Andrew yells, punching my arm, making me laugh even harder.
"He was on my team because he knew that your true happiness lies with my broke ass" I state jokingly.
"Don't say that about yourself" he scolds.
"It's true though Andie. You got us a home for Christmas and here I was thinking of getting you a fruit basket..."
"You got me a fruit basket?" he interrupts, his eyes widening in excitement.
"You're not sick Babe, you don't need a fruit basket..."
"But you know I love fruits" he says slowly, in a very soft voice and I almost feel guilty for not getting him a fruit basket. Almost.
"Okay, let's go get you a fruit basket..."
"After," he interrupts, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the cabin "I show you the inside" he adds.
"Okay" I laugh at his eagerness.
"Welcome to our tiny, cozy home" he expresses cutely when we finally make it inside. "It's pretty, isn't it? Apparently, Grandpa Pat wanted this to be like a getaway home for when he grew sick of the suburban life...but he never got a chance, hence the non-existent furniture..." he rambles, making me smile at his cute nature. Gosh, I most certainly don't regret getting him the gift I got him...
"Christian?!" he exclaims, "Did you hear me?"
"No?" I respond, even though the response came out more like a question than an answer.
