It's our last leg here in Japan, and I can't help but feel sad that soon I will be leaving this beautiful country. I wanted to stay longer but I have a lot of works to do in the Philippines. My stay here in Japan is quite memorable. Maliban sa napakagandang bansa ng Japan, memorable siya for me dahil sa mga an experience ko dito from day 1 until today, and ito yung first out of the country ko.
Which is good for me. If I have to describe it, it's like hitting two birds with one stone. Another thing I learned during my stay here is that my book is kinda popular here sa Japan. And some of the press who interviewed me sabi nila mabenta daw talaga yung sinulat kong libro. Feeling ko tuloy ka-level ko sina J.K. Rowling and John Green, emsz! Ambisyosa lang.
I was signing the book of the last person lined up to my table. Jeez, medyo sumakit yung daliri ko don and naubos yung baon kong English. At ang sakit din sa pisngi at panga na naka-smile ka lang all through out the meet and greet. After kong ma-sign yung book niya she handed me a bag with mochi and stuff toy sa loob.
I looked at both sides to check kung tapos na ba yung ibang authors sa book signing, only to find out ako pala yung nahuli. Mabagal ba ko pumirma? Anyways, so after non, pinagpahinga muna kami sandali ng organizers. Inom tubig dito, konting chika doon, then we were called to stand at the backdrop for photo ops.
After all the activities, Ate Raian came to me. She looks okay but you know she's just forcing herself to be okay dahil nasa work siya. So professional.
"I bet you're hungry," she said.
"Sobra!" I answered and she smiled. See, the Ate Raian I know would say something as response, pero nginitian lang niya ako. I understand naman. May pinagdadaanan yung tao eh.
"Have you seen Ian?" Tanong ni ate Raian, parehas pala naming hinahanap. "I already checked with the organizers, sabi nila we can go back at the hotel na to rest then may pa after party daw later. Asan na ba siya?"
"Di ko din alam, haven't seen him since nag-umpisa yung book signing," I said and then naki-hanap na din baka sakaling mapasadahan siya ng mga mata ko. "Baka nasa labas?"
"Can you do me a favor? Can you find him na din, so we can go back sa hotel ng maaga? Thanks," she said and left.
I will try to look for him outside. And as soon as I stepped outside, aba, nasa labas nga siya at ang daming nagpapa picture sa kaniyang kawaii girls. When some of the girls spotted me, napasigaw sila sabay turo sa akin. And all of the sudden I was surrounded by them. Fans here in Japan weren't rude and undisciplined, but they were still clouding me with "Can I take picture?".
"Chotto mate..." Ian said. May sinasabi pa siyang ibang Japanese words pero di ko maintindihan, but they understand it so medyo kumalma sila.
"Anong nangyayare?" I asked Ian.
"I said, you're in a strict contract kaya di pwede magpa picture after the event, kaya tara na." Hinawakan niya ako sa braso then we went back inside the Gym. "Bakit ka kasi don lumabas? Di ba may exit for you guys?"
Ay bakit parang kasalanan ko? "Excuse me, I was just looking for you!"
"Eh bakit mo ako hinahanap?" He said while his left eye brow was raised.
