Is it too much to hope for him to come here and save me? I know it's impossible for him, but I'm hoping... he'll show up unexpectedly.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I keep shouting while Hasher holds my hand and forces me to get into his car, which I don't want to do.

"Your mother sold you to me, Verlyian. Remember that." he whispered to me.

Napailing ako. "Hindi ako sasama sa'yo! Never!"

"You have no choice but to be with me forever,"

Tumaas ang balahibo ko. He tighten his grip on me. Hanggang ngayon, nandito pa rin kami sa labas ng bahay, nandito rin sila Calleigh na pinipigilan kami sa pag alis.

"Sumama ka sa kanya, Verlyian! It's for your own sake! Para naman mas maging mabuting tao ka!" sigaw ni Mama mula sa malayo.

"This is crazy, Mama! You're choosing our house over me!?" pumiyok ang boses ko.

Yes, I understand that they're treating me badly, but… selling me to a creepy man whom I didn't even know, I really don't know… is this how they show their love for me? Selling me to someone?

"Sumama ka na sa kanya, Verlyian!"

"At sa tingin n'yo, papayag ako na sumama sa lalaking ito!?" napalakas ang boses ko.

I can hear Hasher groaned behind me. Nanatili ang hawak niya sa braso ko at habang tumatagal, mas lalong humihigpit iyon.

"Verlyian! Time is ticking! Don't waste any time! Sa kanya, mas mabubuti ang kalagayan mo!" si Mama.

Napailing ako. "My life will worsen with this man! And for pete's sake! Hindi mo siya kakilala, Mama! Kaya… bakit napagkakatiwalaan mo siya ng ganito!?"

Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala. Parang ang lahat ng nangyayari ngayon ay panaginip ko lang, at kung panaginip man ito, gusto ko nang gumising.

"Sumama ka sa kanya, Verlyian. I choose our house over you. I sold you to this man because I love you, we love you." si Mama na biglang lumamlam ang boses.

Tang ina! I shouted out of frustration. They love me!? This is really how they show their love for me? This is fucking crazy! I gritted my teeth as I tried to get out of Hasher's tight on me.

"Hasher, take care of my daughter, please." si Mama na nakangiti habang sinasabi iyon.

How can she smile despite on what's happening to me!? Mas lalo kong nararamdaman na parang may tumutusok sa puso ko, pero wala akong malabas na kahit anong emosyon.

"I will take care of her. Thank you for trusting me. But… always remember our contract. Sa oras na tumiwalag ka… alam mo na kung anong mangyayari sa inyo ng pamilya mo." si Hasher sa madilim na boses.

Napailing ako. I want to shout but there's no sounds coming from my mouth, na para bang napagod na ito sa kasisigaw kaya siya na mismo ang kusang tumigil.

It appears like I've become used to suffering and becoming tired. Right now, I'm unable to express my feelings. Even though I didn't do anything today, I just feel... empty... and tired.

When you get tired, it doesn't just mean you're tired physically; it also means you're tired mentally. I'm tired of thinking that my life could've been great, but as time went on, things only grew worse.

I'm tired of living in this brutal life that I thought I already escaped but I'm wrong again. For many times in my life, I got disappointed in myself again.

All I want is to escape and live in a beautiful journey, to choose the right path, but there will always be hurdles along the way to my right path. And this... I'm just thinking that this is a test for me, that everything will be worth it once I've overcome these obstacles.
