Chapter 17
Since I've known him, I've always felt comfortable and secure when I'm with him. He was the only one who made me feel so secure. It's enough for his embrace and touch to put my heart at ease.
But I'm aware that I shouldn't be relying on him. I should be able to stand on my own and feel comfortable because that is how it should be.
I'm not sure how I'm going to react as I stare at him in the police station while he's furious. I want to calm him down, but I know I won't be able to.
"Make sure he will rot in jail," I heard Jainx's told the police.
Lumapit sa'kin si Jainx, and when he came near me, he embraced me again very tightly.
"I'm sorry that this happened to you…" he gently whispered.
I just sighed heavily, walang salitang namutawi sa labi ko.
And the fact that it doesn't happen to me once because it already happened a couple times from the other person. I just don't have the confidence to open it to my family, because I know they'll just laugh at me and say that… I'm just kidding around, just like they're always saying whenever I'm showing them the pain I am feeling.
My parents were unconcerned when my Tito harassed me, despite the fact that I had already informed them. They listen when I open things, but they don't care about my feelings.
I really don't know why this is happening in my life.
Earlier, when Hasher almost did that to me… wala ibang pumasok sa isip ko kundi ang pangalan ni Jainx. Inside of my mind, while my eyes were closed tightly, I was silently shouting for Jainx's name.
"I won't let that happen to you again. I won't ever let another person lay their hands on you again." he said with authority.
I smiled. "Thank you, Jainx… kasi dumating ka."
"See!
"Jainx was really your life saver, 'no?
She's definitely right. Sometimes, I can imagine if… what if Jainx didn't come on that day? What could possibly happen to me then?
"Seriously, Jainx, you don't have to do this. Nakakahiya naman sa'yo. You know, I can also cook naman." sabi ko sa kanya isang araw.
He sighed. It seems like, he's spoiling me already.
