Chapter 20
That's what I believe... Jainx was a fallen angel for me. When things don't go as planned, it appears as if... He made a way and sent me an angel who can help me in standing up again in this life, in becoming better.
And that was my love, Jainx Rodeon Lizarda... but I'm content with admiring him from afar, even though I knew he would never like me back.
I'm not sure when I first fell in love with him, but I certainly didn't expect this. It appears that I fell for him at an unexpected time and with an unexpected person. That's when I realized I truly love him when... I'm okay with him talking to me, with us, with us being friends again, as if my confession to him was nothing.
I've become his secretary, now I'm already working here for 5 months. Jainx never overworked me because he understands that I'm still studying now in my third year. And yes, I am able to surpass my remedial class in my two major subjects, and it's all thanks to Jainx.
"Don't think that you didn't try your best just because you didn't pass your major subjects. It's a challenge for us. Kasi, sa panahon ngayon, having high grades doesn't matter anymore. All that matters is that… you try your best and you're good enough." He told me.
While I was in my remedial class, Jainx was always helping me to review those subjects. He's not just helping me through that, but he's also giving me a lot of advice.
Sa totoo lang, she's definitely right. There will be a downturn in our life that will be extremely difficult to overcome. However, this obstacle does not imply that you should give up. Because... It was an important aspect of life.
"Sir Jainx, you have a meeting with Mr. Santiago later at 5pm." I told Jainx when I came to his office.
He's playing with his ballpen when I come to his office, he just stopped when he saw me coming near him.
"How many times do I have to tell you that… don't call me 'Sir' again."
I sighed. "Just for formality,"
"No need,"
"Then, if it's only the two of us, drop the formality already."
I twitched my lips.
Minutes later when he suddenly called through his phone, at maya maya lang ay may dumating agad na delivery galing sa restaurant.
