After all this time, I finally deliver. Got spammed at work with comments so I thought I should get this done.
Round two of capture the flag was ready as Shinsou and Surebu stood face to face on the field. Whoever won this match would go to the next round against the class 2 and 3 winners. This was the second last round and it meant everything. As much as Shinsou wanted to say he was aiming to win for his class, in truth, this was just sibling rivalry. He just wanted to prove himself to Aizawa, and Surebu. He knew he couldn't beat her, but he also knew that she would be judging his every move throughout this game. This was his chance to show her he had improved.
When Present Mic had announced the game to begin, Shinsou rushed to Surebu, making sure to keep her busy and away from the flag. It was all he could do.
Shinsou already knew Surebu had promised not to use the pressure points on him, so that made the fight that little bit easier. For him that is.
The two were trapped in a fist fight that seemed to just go back and forth. Surebu hit Shinsou, he'd hit back and vice versa. It almost seemed... Too easy to Shinsou.
All around them were the shouts of their classmates. No one even suspected the one girl who was completely invisible to the naked eye. She had easily snuck past the defensive line that the general studies class had put up. In her mind, Surebu's simple instructions played once again.
"All you need to do is make it past them and get the flag without anyone knowing."
She smiled, trusting Surebu's plan the best she could. The flag wasn't even defended as the general studies class all went to face off with class 1-A, so it was more than easy to take the flag without anyone noticing.
It wasn't until she had the flag and was headed to her next post that anyone had noticed, and they still wouldn't know if it wasn't for Present Mic and his loud voice.
"WHERE DID THE GENERAL STUDIES FLAG GO‽"
Shinsou spun around and looked at the flag pole, but the flag was gone. He looked back at Surebu to see her smile and instantly knew he fell for her plan.
"What, you though I wouldn't have planned for this?" She laughed out before turning away from the purple haired boy. "Here's a clue, who in this class can you never see?"
Shinsou caught on the second she'd said it and knew who had the flag. "THE INVISIBLE GIRL HAS THE FLAG! FIND HER!" he ordered. Half of the class gave up the fight and ran to look for Higakure.
Little did they know, that was once again Surebu's plan.
Higakure had made it to her second post and handed the flag over to Mineta. "Remember what Surebu said," she mumbled before putting on her gloves and running out into the open, gaining a lot of attention.
Mineta sighed remembering how he ended up in this situation.
"We can't expect to hold them off after they find out their flag is gone. That's when you come in Mineta."
At first he was hesitant about having this role to play, but then he realised he would be the hero of the class if he did it. Well he thought so anyway.
Shinsou and Surebu continued their hand on hand battle when Shinsou finally processed the fact Surebu gave away her plan to him. Why would she do that? Did she really have no faith in him?
"You fell for it Shinsou," her voice whispered breaking him out of his thoughts. "The second you had a clue, you ran for it. That will be your downfall," she explained and it was then he realised that he'd been played... But it was too late...
"CLASS 1-A WINS!"
Everything froze on the field at the announcement. It was true. Mineta had snuck over to the flag pole and put it up with their classes flag. Shinsou stared at the grape headed boy for a moment, then to Surebu.
"She played pass the parcel Shin," was all she said before walking off the field. She'd had enough of the cheering of her classmates and those around her, she had something much more important to do. At least to her it was. To the others in 1-A, it would most likely be something to avoid.
The girl wondered the halls, knowing the way her feet were taking her. A few people walked past her, but none stopped her. She slid the mask over her mouth and pulled her hood up to hide herself from the one person she wanted to see.
She made one last turn into the office of Recovery Girl and took note of everything. Recovery Girl was currently not there and on the far side of the room, one of the curtains were pulled around to hide the one on the other side. She also noticed how it sounded as if he was crying, and someone was trying to sooth him.
Surebu sighed walking over to the curtain. She cleared her throat and suddenly everything was silent. She couldn't see what was happening, but she could hear movement. Finally, the face of Tetsue appeared from behind the curtain. He looked at her and smiled.
"I've taken what you said into consideration. I'm willing to help," she explained. Tetsue nodded pulling the curtains back a bit more before going back in.
"Monama, someone is here to help you," Tetsue said in a small voice. Surebu had waited for the shaky voice of Monama telling her to come in before coming into view.
She saw the fear hit him the second he saw her. She put her hands up in the air in surrender to help him feel a bit more safe. She saw him relax a little bit, then took note on his appearance.
He looked absolutely terrible. His eyes were red and puffy, his hair was a mess and he had red marks and bruises forming all over him.
She looked around and noticed how all the class-B members she'd injured were also here looking over him. She smiled at that. He was a bit of a jerk, but they still worried this much. She shook her head immediately. She had more pressing matters at hand.
She looked back at Monama and gave off a small bow. "I am sorry you have to experience this Monama. I should've been more careful," she spoke out and this made some of the others in the room relax slightly. "I know what you're experiencing right now, and I have a way to make it a little bit easier for you," she explained standing straight once again.
"You can't just stop it?" Someone asked her. Surebu hadn't noticed who it was, but she was more than compliant to answer.
"I'm afraid not. Once it's activated, it can't stop. Even if the quirk is no longer in use," she explained bowing her head down. "What I can do is alter all the bad memories and turn them good," she looked to the boys eyes and saw tears. He was scared. She knew he was, but she knew what he was seeing, she'd lived it after all....
Monama moved off of the bed and over to her. His steps were slow and careful. He kept his eyes on her the entire time. Once they were face to face, he grabbed onto the sleeve of her hoody and opened his mouth, letting out the small, shaky voice making everyone in the room miss the confident boy they remembered.
"Please fix me."
