The room was busy with noise in every corner. There was never a dull moment in the class 1-A dorms anymore. Groups of students filled every space, everyone of them trying to be heard over the others. All but Kirishima.
He'd had his phone out, completely engrossed on the screen. A sad smile reached his lips and Mina took that as her que. She Made her way over, draping her arm over his shoulders. This action surprised the other and he jolted on the spot.
He'd looked over, glad it was only Mina, that was until he'd noticed the image on his screen.
"Class B is throwing a party and Tetsu-bro was just sending me pictures so I don't miss out!" He suddenly shouted, hiding his phone from view. Hearing his words, the room fell silent.
"Why don't you just go if you want to be included shitty-hair?" Bakugo grumbled holding up a rolled up magazine he'd been using to hit Kaminari and Sero with. Kiri instantly turned to the explosive blond with a frown.
"I can't just show up. I wasn't invited!" He yelled out with a groan. Bakugo only shrugged in response, not all that interested to begin with.
"You could always just... Ask?" Kaminari shrugged not sure what the big deal was, especially since if he'd known about this party earlier he would've just shown up without hesitation.
"Its more about who the party is for..." The red head mumbled tucking his knees up to his chest. At this everyones interest was piqued.
Kiri easily got along with most people. He had a generally nice personality and he was kind hearted to basically everyone, so if he was avoiding this party for one person... Something must've been wrong.
It was this moment Midoriya piped in. "Is this about that big birthday bash?" The question lingered for a moment as everyone looked at the green haired boy, waiting for an exploration. "W-well I was asking one of the teachers for help on an assignment and overheard some of them talking about how a class wanted to throw a birthday party for someone despite no one knowing their birth date..." He rambled flailing his arms, trying to desperately explain himself.
Kirishima nodded, glad that was all the other seemed to know, that was, until the sound of someone slamming their hands on the table had grabbed everyones attention.
"THAT WAS TONIGHT‽" Ojiro shouted across the space as he stood up. "How long ago did it start?" He made his was over to Kirishima, only confusing him more and more. Slowly he looked at the screen of his phone, checking the time.
"Thirty minutes give or take?"
At this the blond ran out of the room, tail swaying behind him as he moved up to his room. It wasn't much longer before he was running back down the stairs with a box under one arm.
"You knew about the party?" The question hovered for a moment as ojiro looked at Kirishima blankly.
"Was.... Was I not meant to know? I was told it was for anyone of any course of study and any year..." He muttered quietly. At this the red head sighed seeing no other way out of this.
"That is unless you're from 1-A," he grumbled turning away. At this the blond rethought his choices for the night. He wasn't even sure if he was invited now and that dampened the mood greatly.
"Wait so it's okay for anyone to go, as long as they aren't from our class?" Mina yelled out, hand on hips and obviously fuming with rage.
Everyone began to complain and some were trying to give reasons as to why they weren't invited. Throughout all the chaos Ojiro snuck over to Kiri and leaned over his shoulder.
"Could you, maybe ask if I was invited, because I'm not sure anymore..."
Kirishima nodded with a sad sigh. He understood Ojiro's intentions, but he was upset he'd be stuck with the raging class 1-A until someone finally gets the chance to explain. Knowing these kids however, Kirishima would never get the chance to explain all of this.
At that moment his phone binged. He quickly clicked on the notification, already knowing it was from the very metal head he was planning to contact. The snap opened up and he was shown a picture of Surebu herself at a karaoke machine, looking like she was singing with every fibre of her heart and soul, throwing every emotion she could into that one song. The caption Tetsue wrote over it had both boys smiling however. 'Where you and tail boy? Angel wanted to sing for you 2'.
The two slowly looked from the phone to each other, matching smiles. Guess if you were told about the party that was an instant invite.
The two quickly scanned the room and took note of what everyone was doing. Once they were sure no one was paying them any mind, Ojiro leaned in to Kirishima slightly.
"We could just sneek out. I don't feel like answering questions right now."
There was absolutely no hesitation as Kiri nodded, slowly moving to get up. He sent Tetsue a quick message and before anyone could notice, they'd slipped out the front door without any proof they were there in the first place.
Would this cause problems for later? Most definitely.
Did either of them care? Not in the slightest.
After all, this was Surebu's night. If she wants them there, might as well.
