You sensed trouble the moment this Zaunite cripple stepped his foot in Academy's doorstep. Slowly but gracefully stottering into Heimerdinger's office, he attracted the attention of every single person standing within a 10 meter radius. The main hall grew quiet, only the sound of his walking cane echoing from the marble walls. Despite the attention he was pulling towards himself he looked confident, a shadow of a grim painted on his pale face. You looked at him curiously and to your surprise he looked back at you, turning his head for just long enough to meet your gaze. You sent him a confident smirk which he left unanswered, turning his attention back to the Professor's door. He knocked on it twice. Seconds past, and thanks to the overwhelming silence that filled the room, you could hear quick footsteps approaching from behind the wooden door.
- Ahhhh, Viktor my boy! Come inside, right away - said the yordle loudly, almost as if he wanted everyone to hear the boy's name. As soon as the door closed behind the two, the hall went back to normal. Casual chatting back at the mouths of Academy's students. You stared at the door for a second longer and then turned your attention back to your friends.
- What a weirdo...
- Do you think he's Heimerdinger's prodigy?
- Don't be stupid Patricia, Professor wouldn't have picked some Undercity rat for an assistant - you said with confidence - Besides he just joined the academy, no first year has ever even gotten close to getting that position.
- No one except you Y/N. - said one of the guys, while sending you a wink. You smile trying to look humble, even though you know the truth as well as they do. You could beat every single person in this room, in any major, with your eyes closed. And it's not like professors didn't notice it as well. With your wits and charms, Academy's staff either loved you, hated you or wanted to be you. Heimerdinger, the Academy's dean, was no exception to that. You became his favourite student in your first 15 minutes of the year, asking clever questions and literally glowing with confidence. He even invited you for a tee in his office, something that only the Academy's brightest would experience. Not to mention his poro absolutely loved you, often sneaking into your dorm at night hoping for some snacks. Since you didn't have a patron that would pay for your own lab and a flat, you had to share one with your best friend Amity at Academy's dormitory. A bell's deep echoing sound pulled you out of your head and back into the main hall.
- We should probably get to the lecture hall. I'll see you guys in the evening at Jayce's place? - as everyone said their 'of courses' and 'see you laters', you swiftly grabbed your bag, fixed your white scarf and mentaly prepared yourself for 2+ hours of listening about shit you already knew.
