A/N: HOLY FUCK THIS IS HARD. LIKE WHAT HOW DID TOLKIEN CREATE 2 OF THESE??????

Anyway...

I previously had planned on this chapter to be a one very long one, but honestly it would be waaay to tiring to read. Sorry this had taken me so long but world building is much harder than I had previously imagined. The second chapter is already halfway done and should come out soon.

Anyway...

Sorry...

Please enjoy!!

,,So this stone you randomly recieved from your mother serves as a catalyst for magical energy?"

,,Yeah"

,,And you don't know anything about it besides that its very old."

,,Yeah"

,,And how long were you testing it yesterday?"

,,About an hour maybe?"

,,Right..."

There was silence in the room for a second, Jayces expression highly focused while he carefully examined the Moonstone. Safety goggles obscured half of his face, leaving only a determined pout, as he turned it around in his fingers, his other hand gently rubbing his chin.

You, Viktor and Sky all waited patiently for his verdict, the atmosphere in the room tense with excitement and anxiety. Finally, the larger boy took off his goggles, rubbing the bridge of his nose in the process.

,,We can't show it to the Council. Not yet."

,,What do you mean not yet?"

Viktor snapped back, clearly displeased with his partners holdback.

,,Remember how Heimerdinger reacted when we had first introduced Hextech into the world? He was terrified! And to now tell him, we had created a new way of transportation using yet ANOTHER magical stone, which we know almost nothing about? There's no way, he'd ever endorse something like that..."

,,What do you suggest then..."

You spoke worriedly, your leg bouncing up and down anxiously, the sound of your heavy boots filling the silence that enveloped the room.

,,Well... We will have to pay a visit to your mother... Find out if she can tell us something more..."

You expected that answer but still, you weren't thrilled by it. You were sure the woman wouldn't mind the company, it was just, that the idea of having guests in your old house terrified the living shit out of you.

Whenever your old man would invite people over, it'd usually be potential business partners or investors, sometimes even his creditors. It would always involve many formalities and stress, the smallest slip of a tongue potentially ending in a harsh punishment. You hated hosting guests, always counting minutes until you could finally be excused and let 'the adults talk'.

,,Right... I'll send her a notice once I'll get back to my lab."

You spoke with a shaky breath, feeling everyone's curious eyes burning holes in your shoulder blades.

,,There's no time for that, we should leave right away."

Jayce said while carefully putting the Moonstone in his pocket. You furrowed your brows at the gesture, the boys boldness with safekeeping your possession not sitting well with you. You got up to your feet, ready to knock some sense into your friend if necessary.

,,Right away? It's 8 in the morning Jayce, are you out of your mind?!"

,,Y/N, I know it's not a perfect scenario but this cannot wait. Project Hexgate is bigger than anything we've seen so far. Historians will be looking back at this day as a start of a new civilisation. You must understand the gravity of all of this."
