Months had passed as both you and Amity were working on your semestral assignments. Viktor and Jayce did their best to assist you, but the two boys were also occupied with their responsibilities.
They didn't have to do the projects, since the very moment they got hextech to work, they had both graduated with the top score. As rules of the Academy stated, if one was to create something revolutionary on the Academy's grounds, they were relieved of the final tests and of all assignments that casual students had to participate in. They'd automatically graduate with the highest score, and oftentimes would be offered jobs and funding to continue research for the Academy.
With them being able to focus their whole time on a single task, after a couple of months they managed to crack every single crystal, finding the correct combination of runes to activate all 24 different carvings. You've found out about their success relatively casually.
One night, as both you and Amity were peacefully sleeping, the two boys you shared the lab with raided your dormitory, screaming shouts of happiness and spilling cheap champagne all over the floor. All four of you had celebrated that night, sharing ideas and visions for what's next in store for hextech.
