Thankfully, you managed to calm down a bit as you made your way towards the laboratory. The dark empty corridors of the main building were echoing your silent sniffing as embarrassment took over your mind. Thankfully, except the two of you, there was nobody around to hear it. You turned your head away from the boy that still had his arm around you, as you discreetly wiped your tears, snot and blood with your hand. The two of you finally stopped, as Viktor pulled out his large ring, that was now equipped with some new sets of keys. He took a step towards the door, letting go of you. He hunched over the lock a little and looked at you over his shoulder.

You looked like a pile of pure misery. It broke his heart to see you like that, especially when he remembered how happy you were with him in Zaun just a couple hours before, laughing and shouting like a little child.

He sighed as he picked one key out and opened the door. He gently put his arm on your back as he invited you in. You found yourself in a large, dark room, with the only faint light source being the faint the one of the moon outside. The boy flicked the lights on and you had to cover your eyes as you got blinded by the sudden illumination.

It was a big spacious laboratory built on a diamond plan. A tall, yet slim window loomed over two throne like seats that were placed in the middle, opposite of eachother. The boy lead you to sit on one of them as you admired the rest of the lab.

It was mostly empty. The desk that stretched out all the way across two walls was filled with boxes of different sizes, most of them labeled with Jayce's handwriting. Far on the right there was only a single box signed 'VIKTOR'S STUFF' and your heart sunk a little as you compared the assets of both boys. When you looked to the left, there was empty desktop space, that you figured, two scientists prepared for your would-be arrival.

There were two machines set on the sides of a window, one of them you recognised as a simple furnace, and the other was unfamiliar to you. On the wall opposite of the casement, there was a set of cabinets ranging from small to massive ones.

Viktor was hunching over one of them, supporting his weight on his cane with an elbow. He pulled out a white cloth and a big, golden bottle with a red bow tied to it's neck. You watched him closely as he made his way to the stool with wheels that was placed in front of the window. As he sat on it, he pushed himself off with his healthy leg and swiftly zoomed through the room, stopping right in front of you. In the back of your head you smiled, as he had probably done it a lot. You imagined him judging the force he needed to use in order to stop exactly where he wanted to.

His eyebrows were furrowed, and his eyes showed he was still very upset with the whole situation. In the artificial light he looked more tired than usual. His hair was messier and eye bags under his eyes were more noticeable. Still, he looked neatly and dignified.

He struggled a bit, but he opened the bottle with a loud 'POP'. The golden liquid foamed up and overflew the glass container, spilling onto the floor. It smelled  of strong yet sweet alcohol, and you almost gasped when you read the label.
