Three Piltovans, a Zaunite and a yordle walk towards the lab.

The atmosphere was tense and nobody, nobody saying a thing as the group swiftly manoeuvred through the empty hallways. Viktor was the one at the front, setting an unusually quick pace for the rest. If he was tired he did a really good job not showing it. His chin was raised, but not in a mocking way. He looked confident and graceful, but you knew better than to trust his facade. He was definitely as nervous as you were, if not even more.

No...That was probably impossible. Your hands and knees were shaking, and if it wasn't for the adrenaline coursing through your veins, you'd probably have tumbled to the ground long ago. Not only were the vials containing chemicals definitely present in the lab, but so were your Unity blueprints. If they were to search the entire thing, they'd surely find more than just casual, freelance research. Considering the reputation Viktor and Jayce had made for themselves, you'd probably get away with a warning at this point. However... It definitely wasn't a good look to have. Not until you had proof that it would actually work properly this time.

An echo of footsteps bounced off the walls, accompanied by pearly ringing of countless keys attached to a large metal ring. The inventor reached for them as you approached the lab. He picked one out without hesitation, a calm yet absent expression painted upon his slim face. He twisted the key in the lock twice, and sent you a curious look. The anxiety you felt must've been showing on your face, as he blessed you with a reassuring smile and the slightest of nods. You returned it, however the corners of your mouth were shaking, as if trying to prevent the gesture from happening.

He lifted himself up with the help of his trusted cane, and opened the door. You, Jayce and Viktor entered hastily, sending careful glances towards Heimerdinger and Marcus, who were left at the doorstep, hesitating wether to actually go inside.

The fear in the dean's eyes made your heart sink slightly. He was a frequent guest at the lab, however the situation was different now. You knew he didn't believe Marcus's accusations of a supposed terrorist attack. It was obviously all just exaggerated to make the case seem more interesting for the common folk. However, images of his dead colleagues still probably hunted his mind, their twisted faces imprinted deeply into his brain. If Amity worked here, the chemical must've been present here as well.

The yordle took a deep breath and stepped inside, Marcus soon following him as well. In the mean time, Viktor was leaning over one of the drawers, before taking out a set of 6 vials and harshly placing them on the counter. They were filled with the same green liquid you saw Amity work on. The entire room except for you took a quick step back, as if the chemical was to jump out of the glass containers and attack them. Viktor then turned back towards you, his face calm and seemingly unbothered by the whole situation. He was leaning against the counter nonchalantly, his cane resting by his side.
