Chapter 7

Kj pov;
I woke up in pain I sat up really fast and grabbed my foot "what the hell" I mumbled before remembering what had happened. I looked down at the floor and Luke was asleep snoring I hated to wake him up just to get me some pain Meds. I can do it myself I'll be okay. I lifted the blankets off my easily and out my foot down. "Ouch" I gritted as it hit the floor, I managed to get on my knees and tried to Crawl but it was no use the cast around My foot wouldn't let me go anywhere. I tried one more time and of course I hit my dresser causing everything on it to come crash down on me. Luke of course jumped up too "what are you doin?!" He half hollered "trying to get my pain meds!" I mumbled laying my head in my hands "why didn't you wake me up?" He said leaning down by me "you looked peaceful in your sleep I didn't want to wake you!" I said and looked up at him he had a slight smirk "well we both see where that got you" he managed to say as he picked me up and put me back in my bed. "Thank you" I mumbled laying back down with my foot throbbing "pain meds now!" I gritted grabbing my foot once again. He ran out and quickly came back with More water and a little white pill "thank you again" I said after I took it. "Next time wake me up!" he said as he grabbed the water back out of my hand and put it back on the nightstand. "I will" I said and giggled he came back over and kissed my forehead before he laid down "goodnight" I whispered "night darlin" he said as he drifted off to sleep. I got comfy and fell asleep to the soft sounds of Lukes little snore.

Lukes pov;
I woke up to ms. Johnson shaking me awake. "Yes?" I asked sleepily. "I got a emergency call I have to go with Dr. Davidson on a hospital in California. We're leaving in a hour can you stay here with Kj for a few days?" She said out of breath cause she was rushing herself. "Yes I got it under control Ma" I said and her worried face instantly went away "thank you so much Luke!" She said and patted my shoulder "extra money is in the nightstand in my room. Order pizza or whatever with it" she said before getting up and kissing Kenli's head. "I'll call Yall when we get settled in the hotel." She said before walking out. I looked at my phone and it was 5:06 am. I laid it back down and tried to go back asleep but couldn't. I tossed and turned before finally getting up and going downstairs to lay on the couch and watch some tv. I dozed on and off until i heard my name being called "im coming!" I hollered running up the stairs "yes?" I asked opening the door "I have to pee.." Kj mumbled "okay" I said and lifted her to her feet. "Ready?" I asked before lifting her and taking her to the bathroom I sat her in front of the toilet. "I'll be right outside the door" I said walking out. "shit" I heard her mumble. I didn't say anything and a few minutes later I heard my name so I opened the door. "You ok?" I said smiling "no" she mumbled "what's wrong?" i asked concerned "I can't walk. I can't take a shower. I can't do anything!" She whined. "It's gonna be okay! I'll help you with everything Darlin! Don't worry!" I said reassuring her. I went up and hugged her "that's what friends are for" I said kissing her head. "Your mom will be back before you know it" I said looking into her eyes. "A whole house to ourselves for a week and we can't even party because I'm crippled!" She whined. "We'll have fun! I can call
And invite a few people over if you'd like! But you just can't get drunk cause then you'll get the idea you can walk and that wouldnt go over well" I said laughing "shut up!" she spoke and pushed my chest. i went and grabbed her "where too?" I asked "bedroom I need to Umm change!" She mumbled. "Okay" I said and walked across the hall and sat her down on her bed. "I'll wait outside" I said backing up I was out the door when she called my name. "Yeah?" I said sticking my head in "Umm you're going to have to help me.." She said shyly and i couldn't help but grin as I walked back into her room "okay. Umm what do you need?" I said looking into her closet "grab a tank top and shorts out of my drawer"...
