Chapter 40

Luke

"I love you Kj.. I love our little girl.. and I'd give anything for you to let me back in so we can be a family for the rest of our lives"

I sat down beside her and grabbed her hand.

"Kj.. I know I messed up, I really did.. and I know there's no excuse good enough for my actions but I want this family more than anything I've ever wanted"

"Luke.. this is all so fast" she said looking up at me with tears in her eyes.

"I know darlin I'm not trying to rush you but just know I don't plan on going anywhere.." I spoke

"Luke who was she?"

"Who?" I questioned

She looked up at me with almost type anger in her eyes..

"Don't play dumb Luke" she said trying to stay quiet

"Her name was Kaitlyn but it was nothing to me"

"Did you sleep with her Luke?"

I looked at her and looked down as much as I wanted to lie to her I know I couldn't if I ever wanted their to be and us again.

"A few times" .. "but there was no feelings between us"

"She texted you at the baby shower and you had a huge smile on your face Luke you can't say there wasn't"

"Kj stop, me and her were just friends that got drunk a few to many times and I had to hide the hurt somehow!"

Tears filled her eyes and I tried to pull her close to me but she pushed me away.

"Not right now Luke"

I sighed and walked out of the room, I have no idea what to do..

I know I shouldn't care so much what he did while we were apart but it still hurt me like we were together.. I love Luke with all that I am and we have a beautiful baby girl now. I would love to be a complete family but I just don't know if I can trust Luke again..

I had no idea who this Kaitlyn girl was or anything and all I knew if I ever saw her I would probably slap the shit out of her.

Luke walked back in the room and sat on the chair. He bought some snacks from the vending machine and brought me a dr. Pepper. He laid there on his phone for a few minutes before drifting off to sleep, he was exhausted and I felt bad but I didn't know what to do.

His phone was lighting up constantly but he didn't seem to realize.. I wondered what it was all about but ignored it. I opened up my Facebook app and looked at my notifications, Luke had tagged me in a post. I clicked on the notification and it brought up a picture of me and Paisley and read 'My beautiful baby girl was born yesterday, welcome to the world Paisley Rae Bryan.. I already know I better have my shot gun ready cause you got your mamas beautiful looks!' I read that and a smile spread across my face.

I scrolled threw Facebook a little while longer and updated my profile picture to the three of us from the day she was born.. Lukes smile was priceless and both our eyes were sparkling..

I was honestly so torn on what to do, I love Luke I really do but if Kaitlyn is working for his team or record label the I don't know.. what if temptation happens again.. can I really trust him?

I sighed and then noticed I had a twitter notification also, the first thing that popped up was a picture of us three on Lukes twitter.

'Welcome to this world Paisley Rae I love you so much already. You and your mama are the greatest things that have ever happened to me, I can't wait to see what's in store for us. My shot guns loaded to chase off all the boys, sorry baby girl.. Kj thank you for brining this blessing into my life, I love you.'

Tears filled my eyes and I looked over at Luke he was asleep softly snoring. I read some of the retweets and stuff, lots of them were saying I thought he was single, I thought she left him?! Or she doesn't deserve him. I sighed and threw my phone down.. Is this what it's gonna be like now a bunch of hate comments and such on his social media..

"What's wrong" I heard Lukes groggy voice whisper

I looked over at him and smiled

"Nothing just looked at your posts"

"You don't like them?" He asked

"I do, just all the hate" I whispered

"What" he rubbed his eyes and walked over to the bed

I unlocked my phone and showed him. He took it away and laid it on the night stand. He wrapped me in his arms and kissed my forehead.

"Don't worry about them, they don't even know us and they're jealous" he whispered

I nodded and leaned into him.

"Luke?"

"Yeah?" He questioned

"I love you too" I whispered.

Long overdue update!

I'm sorry once again.

This broken foots gonna be the death of me!

But I got my first official vehicle yesterday! I'm so excited.
