After that, you finish eating and then go up to your rooms to get dressed :

While you are getting ready, you decide to tell the girls that you broke up with Matt because you do not want them to keep talking about him as if you were still together.
You : « girls... I'm not with Matt anymore »
Leïa : « what ?? »
You : « he broke up with me, ...that's why I wasn't there last night.. »
Leïa : « omg y/n, if I had known... »
Maya : « I'm shocked.. »
Jade : « but wait, did you say "HE broke up" ? Like- why ? » frowning.
You : « he couldn't stand the distance anymore, ...and he cheated on me » looking away.
Jade : « wtf ?? »
Maya : « is it a joke ?? »
Leïa : « what an asshole. »
You : « so yeah he broke up but.. »
Jade : « yeah you would have done it right after anyway »
You : « yeah.. » holding you back from crying.
You : « ...I feel so stupid I swear »
Leïa : « you couldn't know... I never thought he would do that »
You : « he put me in a state... I was.. terrible. I don't even know if I hate him or love him, or both idk.. » sighing.
Jade : « dw, we're gonna help you get over that asshole »
You : « Jade.. »
Jade : « come on, you deserve so much better »
You : «  what if not ?... » sitting on your bed.
Jade : « shut up and come on, we're gonna have a beautiful and happy day, without thinking about that shitty guy »
You : « no, I don't want to... I just wanna stay in bed all day » laying down on the bed, sighing.
Jade : « it wasn't a question. Come on girl » 🙄 taking your hands and pulling you out of bed.
You : « ugh... »
You follow them out of the room.

You go join the girls in their room.
Jade : « well, we have to go out, do something, anything »
Madi : « why ? »
You : « ...I'm not with Matt anymore »
Madi : « what ?? Fr ? »
You look down, it is hard to talk about it.
Madi : « and why ? »
You : « he found someone else apparently.. » holding you back from crying.
Madi : « no-... wtf » shocked.
She looks around.
Madi : « why do I feel like everyone here knew it ? »
You : « because they know it.. Talia and Cynthia were with me last night, and I just told the girls »
Madi : « oh okay... well yeah, we need to get your mind off of things »
Cynthia : « so, what do we do ? »
Madi : « idk, let's ask the guys »

She sends a message to the guys on your Instagram group chat.
The guys say they would like to play basketball. You think it is a good idea but Chase, Payton and Josh do not respond, so you guys leave your room and go knock on theirs. Chase opens the door.
Chase : « yeah ? »
Cynthia : « don't you guys have your phone or what ? »
Chase : « sorry, we were getting ready »
Cynthia : « the guys want to play basketball, how's that sound ? »
Chase : « oh yeah cool, we're coming »
Suddenly, you see Payton walking across the room, shirtless. He sees you guys at the door and then grabs his t-shirt. You feel weird, and think back to your kiss, so you get uncomfortable and look away.

A few minutes later, you are all ready, so you go down to one of the gyms. No one is there, so you put your stuff on the bleachers and form two teams. You are against Payton.
You start to play. After a while, you have the ball and Payton comes in front of you to counter you. You look each other in the eyes. You are embarrassed, but he smirks at you, so you look at him a bit confused. He then tries to steal the ball from you, but you dodge him, throw the ball and score. You turn around and look at him, rather proud of yourself, then you flip him off. He smiles a little, looking away, then you continue the game.
You keep playing, he does not look at you much anymore. At the end of the game, his team wins by a few points. You see him fist bump and laugh with Maya, who was on his team. You look at them, then look away.

After that, some continue to play, the rest go sit in the bleachers. You stay with Leïa, Anthony, Jaden and Jade. You guys are just shooting. You are not really focused, you are looking discreetly at Talia and Payton who are talking in the bleachers. You hope he will not tell her anything.

On their side :
Talia : « are you okay ? »
Payton : « yeah »
Talia : « ..what's wrong ? »
Payton : « nothing »
He glances at you discreetly, but Talia notices it.
Talia : « uh, ..y/n » raising her eyes a little.
Payton : « ...she's been acting weird lately »
Talia : « she just broke up with her boyfriend Pay »
Payton : « I know.. »
Talia : « but you're weird too. You didn't even say hi to her this morning, what happened- »
Payton : « but I didn't know what to do »
Talia : « wdym ? » confused.
Payton : « well... »
Talia : « yeah.. ? » waiting for him to say something.
Payton : « wait, she didn't tell you ? » a little surprised because he thought you would confide to her.
Talia : « she didn't tell me what ? »
Payton : « um, well, just ask her » going to join the guys.
Talia : « Payton. Come back. Pay- ...ugh »
She sighs then looks at you. She sees that you glancing at Payton, a little preoccupied. She raises her eyes and calls out to you.
Talia : « y/n ! » waving at you to come.
You tell the others that you stop, then you go see her, a bit nervous.
