The next day, the others wake up. The girls notice that you are not in your bed. Same with the boys, Payton is not there. Josh did not notice that he was already gone when he came back last night, he was too tired. They think you have gone to breakfast, so they all come downstairs. They look for you in the cafeteria but do not see you, so they sit at a table and start eating. Talia texts you to find out where you are, but you do not answer.
Chris : « I'm telling you they spent the night together » 😌 Jaden : « yeah, definitely » Josh : « but I walked her back to her room last night » Madi : « well, she came out again dumbass » Anthony : « okay um.. how did it go btw ? » looking at Josh. Cynthia : « oh yeah, tell us » Josh : « well.. she, she told me I was her friend » sighing a bit. Anthony : « oh » Jade : « yeah well, if she already had a thing with Payton, it's understandable- » Leïa : « Jade » elbowing her. Jade : « sorry » Maya : « y'all talking nonsense » 🙄 Chris : « Maya come on... » raising his eyes, smiling a bit. Chris : « I know you guys won't like it but... you'll see » looking at Josh and Maya. Maya looks away, a bit tense. Jaden : « it had to happen at some point »
Meanwhile, you and Payton are still asleep. You wake up a few minutes later and see that Payton is sleeping. So you sit against the wall and look at him for a few minutes, playing with his hair. You are a little pensive.
After a while, Payton opens his eyes. Payton : « hey » smiling. You : « oh hey » smiling. Payton : « are you okay ? » having seen you pensive. You : « uhum, I was just waiting for you to wake up » smiling a bit. Payton : « well, I'm awake, so come here » pulling you towards him. You : « aah Payton- » laughing a bit. He takes you in his arms and holds you tight :

You smile, but suddenly Payton's phone rings. You : « ugh » 💀 You : « go ahead.. » Payton sighs, puts his boxers back on and goes look for his phone in his clothes. He does not have time to pick up the phone but he sees that Chase has tried to call him several times. Payton : « fuck.. » You : « what ? » turning to him. Payton : « it's Chase, the others are up, they're having breakfast » 🤡 You : « oh shit » 🤡 You go check your phone and you see all the messages from Talia. You : « omg yeah Payton, we have to go » starting to get dressed. Payton : « are we really both gonna show up like that ? Like "hey guys wassup ?" » 🤡 You : « well... yeah » smiling nervously. You : « you wanted to tell them, right ? Ig it's time » Payton : « okay, great » a bit nervous. You put your hair in a messy bun. Payton : « um no, you should keep your hair down » seeing the hickeys. You : « oh, yeah » untying and bringing them upfront.
You get dressed and rush to the cafeteria. You go in calmly. You do not take a tray, just a little something to eat, because it is kind of late to have breakfast. Madi : « here they are » 😌 Anthony : « together » smirking. The others turn around and see you. Chris : « so, Maya ? You still think I'm talking nonsense ? » 😌 She raises her eyes and does not say anything, then looks at you wrong. You come up to the others, a little nervous.
You : « hey guys » eating a croissant. Payton : « yo » Talia notices you are a little nervous, so she gives you a teasing look then looks away. You hold back a smile and look away a little uncomfortable. Everyone is looking at you. Anthony : « so, where were you ? » raising his eyebrows, smirking. You : « gm to you too Anthony » Anthony : « stop dodging the subject » raising his eyes. You : « I'm not- » Chris : « come on guys, I was right ! » smiling, excited. Everyone looks at him a little confused. Chris : « hickeys are evidence, right ? » 🤷🏻♀️😌 Madi : « naah omg ! » mouth wide open, smiling. Everyone looks at your neck. You put your hair back in front, then look at Payton. You : « fuck.. » laughing a bit. Payton : « we suck so bad » shaking his head a little, laughing a bit too, then grabbing you by the shoulder and hugging you. You giggle and hug him. Josh is surprised and a little upset, and Maya is pissed off and frustrated, but she tries not to show it. Cynthia : « aaah » excited. Madi : « I knew it, I fucking knew it ! » smiling, all excited. They start teasing you. You : « it's okay guys » smiling a bit, embarrassed. Payton : « yeah, we get it » You sit at the end of the table, next to Talia. Payton sits across from you. You take a few things to eat from Talia's tray. Jaden : « question : is it serious between you guys then, or.. ? » You : « it is yeah » Talia turns her head towards you, all happy. You laugh a little, then look at her, smiling. Cynthia : « like, you guys are really together ? Like, a real couple ? » looking at Payton in particular. You look at him too, eating and giggling a bit. He wants to talk but laughs a bit nervously. Payton : « well, yes » smiling a bit. Leïa : « awww » Jaden : « wtf.. » smiling a bit. Cynthia : « wow, I'm proud of you bro » 😌 Anthony : « who would have thought ? » Payton : « I know yeah » with big eyes. Maya tries to contain herself. Madi : « you guys look SO GOOD together anyway » Jade : « yeah fr, you're cute » looking at you, smiling. Maya gives her a sideways glance. You : « thank you » smiling, a little shy :

The others finish eating. You and Payton give each other a few looks and smile. You are relieved you said it. After that, you all go back upstairs and put on your bathing suits. You decide to spend the rest of the morning at the pool. You spend a lot of time playing with Payton. You both tease each other and laugh. You guys feel much better now that you do not have to hide anymore.
