I love you...

So Cynthia, Jade and you go to the bar, right next to your table.
You ask the barman for some shots. He serves you. You drink a lot, Jade stops first, and few minutes later, Cynthia runs to the restroom to throw up.

You : « pFfF tOo EaSy » totally drunk.
You : « cOmE oN giRlS, iT's fUn » looking at Madi and Talia.
Madi : « no it's okay, but you better stop »
Talia : « yeah y/n, stop » getting up and trying to take your glass.
You : « eH, miSsEd » laughing.
You : « leAve mE aLoNe TaLia, iT's OkaY, I'LL gO thRow uP, LikE cYnthia » giggling.
Talia : « great » 💀
Cynthia : « bad idea... » coming back from the restroom.
You keep drinking.

Payton sees you drinking a lot, so he comes to you.
Payton : « y/n, calm down with the alcohol » taking your glass and putting it on the bar.
You : « eH » frowning a bit.
You : « iT's okaY, I mAnaGe dW » 🙄 taking your glass back.
Payton : « no you don't manage at all » stopping you.
You : « uGh bUt leAve mE alOnE.. »
Payton : « y/n- »
Suddenly, you get up and run to the restroom.
Madi : « omg » 💀
Payton looks at Talia.
Talia : « she wouldn't listen to me » 🤷🏻‍♀️💀
He raises his eyes, then joins you in the restroom.

He finds you throwing up, you are really not well.
You : « omg no... don't come... I don't want you to see me like this »
Payton : « don't talk nonsense »
He comes near you. You keep throwing up.
Payton : « wait » holding your hair back.
Payton : « ...did you see how much you drank, seriously ? » raising his eyes.
You keep throwing up, then you stop. You take a deep breath and sit on the floor. Then, you start crying.
Payton : « y/n.. what's wrong ? »
You : « idk... I'm tired... » exhausted.
Payton : « it's gonna be okay dw » sitting next to you, giving you a hug.
You put your head on his shoulder.
Payton : « you just need to rest »
Payton : « ..come on, let's- »
You fell asleep in two seconds.
He sighs a little, smiling a bit.
Payton : « you're gonna get some sleep » removing a lock of hair from your face.
He cleans your mouth a little with water, then takes you in his arms. You are a little woozy.
Payton comes out of the restroom, the girls see him.
Talia : « Payton » going to see him.
Payton : « I'm bringing her back to her room. She needs to sleep »
Talia : « okay yeah.. thank you »
Talia goes back to the table and Payton takes you back to your room.

He gently lays you on your bed, puts the blanket over you, and sits on Talia's bed that is right next to yours.
He stays a few minutes looking at you, thinking about a lot of things. He is thinking about the fact that he said no to Ilona, about how possessive you were, but also about what you said to him at the skatepark, about your feelings. He never said no to a girl like Ilona. He liked to play with this kind of girl before. So he is a little confused and feels like he has no control over anything, which scares him.

You : « Payton ?... » waking up a little.
Payton : « yeah I'm here »
Payton : « I brought you back to your room »
You : « thank you... »
You : « ...won't you come with me ? »
Payton : « you better get some rest »
You : « I can rest with you »
Payton : « ..alright » smiling a bit.
He gets up and comes with you into bed. You smile a bit then rest your head on his chest and close your eyes. He starts playing with your hair, so you go back to sleep in a second. He zones out for a while, thinking about a lot of things.
Then you put your arm on him and snuggle up to him. It brings him out of his thoughts, he turns his head towards you and looks at you. He stays like that for a little while. Then he sighs a bit, puts his head on yours and hugs you gently.
Payton : « ..I love you... » whispering.
He is telling you now, for the first time, because you are asleep and can not hear him. He is not comfortable with that, and he is too proud to say it to your face. But he really meant it though.

An hour later, the others decide to go to bed. Payton has fallen asleep, but he wakes up when he hears the girls coming in.
Talia : « oh Payton.. sorry, are we making too much noise ? »
Payton : « no dw, I'm gonna go anyway »
Talia : « okay, well, gn then »
Payton : « yeah gn »
The three of them go into the bathroom. So he gets out of bed, being careful not to wake you up. He looks at you for a few more minutes, a little pensive.
Madi comes out of the bathroom and cuts him off from his thoughts.
Madi : « oh you're still here »
Payton : « um yeah nah I'm leaving, gn »
Madi : « gn »
He leaves your room and goes to his.

The next day, you wake up with a terrible headache. The others are not feeling super well either, especially Cynthia and Josh, who were really drunk too.
You barely remember the party.
You : « o.m.g... my head... » holding your head in your hands.
Talia : « with all you've been drinking, it's no wonder »
You : « ugh.. did I really drink a lot ? »
Madi : « you don't remember ? ...damn »
Talia : « yes you did »
You : « great.. I barely remember the party »
Talia : « well, basically, you had a few drinks, then you went to yell at Ilona for dancing with Payton- »
Madi : « don't you remember that he kissed you in front of her ? »
You : « oh yeah, ..I was really mad huh ? »
Cynthia : « yes »
Talia : « then you came back and.. well tbh I don't even remember how many shots you had, but a lot. Then you yelled at Payton a little because he wanted you to stop- actually, you yelled at everyone who told you to stop drinking. Then you went to throw up, ofc, and Payton brought you back to your room »
Talia : « that's it »
You : « is it a joke ? »
Talia : « nope »
You look away for a few seconds.
You : « did I really yell at Ilona ? »
Madi : « yeah but she deserved it tho. I'd have even slapped her if I were you »
Cynthia : « Madi »
You : « omg.. » sighing a bit.
You : « and Payton ?.. is he mad at me ? »
Talia : « no, I mean, idk but I don't think so »
Madi : « naah, he was sleeping with you when we came back, then he left a bit later »
You : « okay.. »
Cynthia : « well, I'm hungry, shall we go eat ? »
Talia : « don't we wait for the others ? »
Cynthia : « I'm gonna text them, and they'll join us if they're awake »
You : « yeah okay, I'm just gonna take a quick shower because.. well » still having your dress from last night.
Talia : « yeah, go ahead »
A few minutes later, you are ready, so you go downstairs to have breakfast.
