Chapter thirteen

Rin pov—

I didn't sleep that night, how could I after everything that happened. Eventually I rolled out of bed and pulled my cloths on. Today we had some tasks that they disguised as training in order to get free work out of us.
I was sitting next to Eren eating my breakfast, it just felt to weird sitting next to Jean right now. And Reiner was being weird. It was silent when Eren said, "hey Rin, did you hear, the scouts are coming back from a mission today. We might get to see them." I took a bite out of my bread, "seriously? Wow that would be crazy, I haven't seen them in what feels like forever," I smiled at the thought. Armin laughed light heartedly."yea sometime after breakfast," Eren said. My heart was pointing as I quickly swallowed the rest of my bread. For some reason I was nervous to see them again, Especially my father, Erwin and Miche. I stood up from the table, "Okay, I'm gonna go for a little run, I'm feeling groggy today and I want to be able to do my best, especially if my dad will be watching," I said before exiting the room.
I must have jogged around the field 5 times before everyone finally came outside.
I haven't seen or talked to my father since I got here, the thought of seeing everyone, it made me feel nervous.
We all stood in a cluster waiting for the Scouts to come walking down the street. "Damnit, I can't see anything," I complained. I grabbed onto Erens hand and pulled us as close to the front as I could when someone yelled. "Hey the scout regiment is back! That's right commander Erwin give those Titans slack!" My heart started racing as I saw Erwin. Then someone pointed out my father. I saw Erwin, and right behind him was my father, and Hange and Miche. I stood there with Eren and Armin and Mikasa and suddenly when I saw Erwin right In front of me, he looked over, when be noticed me he gave me a soft smile and looked back at the others, Hange gave a confused look before looking at the crowd. When she saw me her face lit up and she started waving frantically, "RIIIIN!" She yelled while smiling at me, she grabbed my father's arm, pointing him in my direction. I waved at Hange, I felt relieved that she was here. Levi however, looked me up and down and then turned back to his riding, you'd never guess that we knew each other.
When then passed Eren spoke, "everyone is so excited, it's a whole new energy."

I was standing on the wall cleaning cannons with some of the others. Eren and Connie were arguing but I honestly wasn't paying much attention, I was too busy worrying about my father.
He wouldn't even look at me, not use being upset I guess.
When suddenly Sasha approached us, "hey guys can you keep a secret." She said and I stoped cleaning and joined the small group next to her, "because I totally just helped myself to the captain's pantry."
Eren was standing near the edge of the wall looking down, I ran up behind him and hugged his shoulders, "whats on your mind?" I asked. He looked at me with a small smile as a let go, until everything turned dark.
A dark shadow suddenly loomed over all of us and I froze, my blood running cold.
Somethings not right. It wasn't supposed to rain today.
I felt that sick feeling I slowly turned to face whatever was causing the shadow. Then as explosion of heat, it was so hot I felt like my skin sizzling, and the wind was so powerful that it blew all of us off the wall entirely. I began to panic as my feet were forced off the ground and I was shot backwards, I quickly used my ODM gear to cling to the inside of the wall. I looked over at Eren who wasn't to far from me. I looked down, and my worse fears came to life, "Holy shit." I muttered and everyone followed my eyes to see what I saw. There was a hole in the wall.
Connie yelled. "Their gonna get in, their gonna get in!" My mind went blank, my brain fuzzed and my mouth became dry and it felt like my heart was about to push out of my chest. I was snapped out of my haze by Eren, "NOW IS OUR CHANGE, DONT LET HIM GET AWAY EVERYONE." I looked up. To my absolute horror the colossal titan stood in front of me. I clenched my fist around my blade.
Now is the time. Don't hesitate. Levi wouldn't hesitate.
I pulled my blade from my side and threw my fist in the air, "EVERYONE FOLLOW EREN! WE CANT LET IT GET AWAY." I flew up the wall charged at the Titan.
Fuck fuck fuck. Don't hesitate. Take him down, easy. You got this Rin, you're the daughter of humanity's strongest. Don't let all the training they put into you go to waste. Show them all why you're the best.
