Chapter twenty

—-Levi pov—-
We were moving headquarters to a new location, a castle in the woods, I would have loved to have a nice silent ride but that was ruined already by Olou's loud ass voice.

—-normal Pov—-
Petra- "yea well that's what you get for talking like that on horse back."

Olou- the rookie needed to be shown his place. First impressions are everything.

Petra- "you certainly made an impression all right."

Olou- "our exchange went as planned."

Petra stood and watched as Olou held a towel to his mouth, "what happened to you? You never used to talk like this. It's non of my business but if you're trying to act like Captain Levi then it's kinda embarrassing. You and him couldn't be less alike."
Olou laughed and looked up at Petra, "if you insist on hounding me like a wife, then Petra dear, there's rather more of me you need to be acquainted with before claiming the privilege."
Petra looked amused at this comment, "ha, yea you wish. I'd say bite your tongue but you've already got the covered. Text time I hope you bleed out."

The Scout Operations Squad, or Levi Squad.
Eren looked at each of them and recalled all he knew about the group
Petra Rall. 10 kills and 48 assists.
Olou Bozad. 39 kills and 9 Assists.
Eld Gin, 14 kills and 32 assist.
Gunther Schultz, 7 kills and 40 assists.
All of these scouts were hand picked.
Levi called his squad inside now to clean the place top to bottom. After Eren was finished he came to find Levi, Levi informed him that he'd be sleeping in the cellar, Eren didn't seem to happy about this, but then Petra entered the room. "Try not to look so discouraged Eren. Can I call you Eren? I hope you don't mind, I've noticed the caption does and he kinda sets the tone for everyone else." Petra looked at Eren sweetly and he was confused by her kindness, "Petra right?Did I really look discouraged?" Petra smiled, "everyone reacts like that, up close and personal Levi doesn't seem like the hero he's cracked up to be. Rin wants to be just like him but she's not. They do have a few similarities, for starters they're both shorter than you'd expect. Levi's a bit on the temperamental side too. I guess Rin does get that from him." She said smiling. Eren continued, "it's not that. I'm more put off by the seriousness. He's so dead earnest about the rules."
Petra laughed, "let me guess, you think strength is living by your own rules." Eren looked down, "I just didn't see him as the type to take orders."

"at one time he would have lived up to your expectations, that's what I heard anyway. Story says he was quite the rogue before he joined the scouts. A high roller in the Capital black market.

Eren- "how the hell- how did he-"

Petra-"no idea. People talk but who knows what really brought him here. The most popular version involved Erwin. They say he was dragged to the scouts kicking and screaming as his small daughter hung to his leg.

Eren- "the commander?"

Suddenly Levi walked around the corner, "what's going on here? Your cleaning is awful, back upstairs."

Erwin and Miche sat in Erwin's office discussing the plan for the upcoming mission.
Miche stood staring out the window, "30 days out from the experience and you're saying we'll now have a crop of green recruits along for the ride?"
Erwin drew the blue prints as he talked, "assuming any sign up." Miche turned to face Erwin, "not to be that person but that seems rash. Honestly, what are their chances?" Erwin still didn't look up from his desk, "the main priority is to prove that Eren has control of his power. The last thing we want is for the military police to get involved."
Miche looked at his friend through tired, narrow eyes, "you don't want to give me a straight answer? That's it? Those new recruits, after everything they've seen. Even she probably doesn't want to join."
Erwin now looked at his friend, "your nose is as sharp as ever." Miche sniffed the air. Erwin chuckled, "she'll join."
