Chapter thirty four

I looked over at Eren..he was crying. He looked over at me. "HOLD ON RIN!" He yelled. He didn't even give me a chance to react before biting his hand and turning into a Titan. This caused Reiner to fall over, he dropped my on the ground, more gently then expected before fighting with Eren. I had nothing but this sword, if I had my ODM gear I'd have Reiner dead by now. "LOOK OUT!" Was all I heard before seeing a decomposing colossal Titan body flying down at us. My heart spread up and I started running towards the wall. My legs didn't carry my fat tho before the strong hand of the Armored Titan wrapped around me again. I kicked and thrashed but my voice wouldn't form any words. Reiner pulled me close to them, it was hot, so hot I felt my skin burning. I heard Reiner screeching but it was so hot I had to close my eyes. Suddenly it was quiet. I opened my eyes to see Bertolt carrying an unconscious Eren on top of his decaying colossal body. I felt frozen as I watched Bertolt use ODM gear to climb onto Reiners shoulder as Reiner ran farther away from the wall. I heard the sweet yet terrified voice of Armin screaming. "ERENNN, RIIIN."
But his voice got quieter and quieter the farther we got from the wall. My heard started to feel light and it was getting harder to breath. Everything started to spin before it suddenly went dark.

                                   -Jeans pov-
After Rin blew me off for Eren I decided to just head down the wall. I was feeling pretty shitty and this was the last place I wanted to be. I was able to find a box to sit on and a garrison member offered me some water. I sat with some random men, which was fine. I wasn't in much of the talking mood anyway. I over heard the guy next to me talking. I looked over at him, "you're really saying there weren't any?" The man turned to look at me, "I know, it's unusually quiet out there." I felt my heart race a little, my mind made its way back to her. I hope Rin's okay. I sighed and looked away, "I wonder if they're all okay. If they're still alive." My thoughts were interrupted by a conversation I overheard some MP's having.
"What a joke. I thought this was some kind of emergency."
"Yea, we just come out here to sit on our asses."
"Hey Levi! Where are you hiding all the titans."
I didn't even realize Levi was here.
Him being here just makes things worse, seeing him reminds me of her. Maybe I should go back up, damnit.
Levi's face remained neutral as he looked at the MP's, "problem? You seem eager to get ripped apart and eaten alive, soldier. Sorry we couldn't make that dream happen for you today, but you'll have plenty of opportunities outside the wall if you're looking. Lost of scouting expeditions. I'd be glad for the help. We could all fight titans together."
That's where Rin gets it from, her attitude, he sounds just like her.
The MP's became flustered now, "well you know. We have our work in the interior so-"
"HEY THE ADVANCE SQUAD IS BACK! Go, tell commander Pixis!"
I jumped at the sudden shouting, i joined in the crowd of of soldiers gathered around Pixis. I stood next to Rin's dad but he hardly acknowledged me.
At least Rin's not as intense as him.
Pixis looked at all of his while the situation was explained to him by a soldier panting on the floor. "I see. So no breach as far as you could tell?"
The soldier looked up at Pixis, "that's correct sir." Pixis hummed, "mm, as I thought." The soldier continued, "but sir! A situation has developed! You see, we ran into another group on the way back to Trost. It was the scout unit lead by Section Commander Hange. There were recruits from the 104th cadet corps with them, none of them had equipment. This may sound crazy but three of them, we're Titan!!" I felt sick to my stomach, I felt angry at the soldier, "what the hell. Hang on a second. Seriously? You mean there were three more? But who were they?" The soldier didn't answer, I tried to control myself but my temper took over, "who damnit!" I felt a hand on my shoulder, commander Erwin, "jean, calm down." I felt my anger melt into tension, all I could think about was her, was Rin okay. Erwin looked down at the soldier on the ground, "what happened when their Titan forms were revealed?" The soldier lunged forward a bit when he talked, "the scouts engaged the Armored Titan and the Colossal in battle best they could sir! But by the time our units arrived, it was..too late. I'm sorry." I felt my heart drop. My stomach felt like it was tied in a knot.
No. No. She was okay. She had to be. But, she had no gear. Damnit, I left her defenseless. Damnit. Damnit. Damnit.
Commander Erwin had us all on horses and riding on top of the wall, I felt my anxiety slowly settle when I saw Mikasa and Armin on top of the wall.
They survived. That must mean Rin's okay too.
When we reached the other commander Erwin immediately begun to deploy the lifts. I hoped off my horse and was about to run to Mikasa and Armin but stoped in my tracks when I heard Levi talking to Hange who was till laying on the ground.
"Hey four eyes, where's my daughter."
"They took her. They took Eren, Ymir and Rin."
"Why Rin?"
"Do you think it's possible she told them-"
"No. I told her to keep it a secret."
"Right. Besides what would 2 titans need with a power like hers."
"Who knows. We shouldn't underestimate them until we know their motives."
Rin was okay. But whoever these titans were, they kidnapped her. How would they even know? This is crazy. But I'll save her, for once I'll save her.
Suddenly a soldier handed Hange a map, they rolled it open and we all gathered around them. "Right, it's a gamble but the trees in this forest are massive. I say we ride straight for it. See, even if they had a way to cover their footprints, this is almost definitely where we'd find them." Erwin knelt down to look at Hange's map, "why's that?" He asked. Hange continues, "they need to recharge. They have the power to assume Titan form but other titans will still pose a threat. Especially after such a fight. Yes, Eren was worse for it but they've go to be spent. Remember when Annie went out cold? Let's suppose they're headed somewhere beyond wall Maria. That isn't a simple hike. They'll need to rest before covering such a distance. They're in no shape to make it in a single push. Even so, they'll want to catch their breaths somewhere other titans came get to them. Odds are they'll hold out till it gets dark."
We're coming Rin, I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you.

                                    -Rin pov-
I opened my eyes slowly. My head was pounding. I heard the sound of birds coming from somewhere in the distance. I saw the sun still high, but it was shaded by a canopy of trees. I sat up slowly but that made my head pound even more. I reached my hand to my head and closed my eyes. "Rin. You're awake. I was getting worried." I groaned, "Reiner.." I said groggily as I looked over at the man sitting on the tree branch in front of me. I looked around, Ymir was sitting to my left , missing an arm and a leg, Eren was to my right, missing both arms completely.
"Welcome back you two." Reiner said, moving his eyes from me to Eren then back to me. I felt rage and confusion coming forward but I stayed emotionless, refusing to let Reiner know how hurt I really was.
Damn you Reiner. Dame you both.
