Everyone bustled around you, ordering things to go here and there, while people pushed and shoved as well. You and Ama tried your best to stay out of the way and help with things you knew you couldn't screw up.

You were helping to secure some crates with a crewman, when Sinbad literally bounded by you, the biggest smile you've ever seen on his face. He jumped around, running on the ship's railing. You were amazed at how lithe he was, jumping and running on the rocking boat. It was admirable and adorable.

You couldn't but smile yourself. Maybe this is what he needed- the reason he was so hell bent on following you. He was content with the possible chaos of the sea.

"(Y/n)! You gotta support it!" the crewmate cried.

You jerk harder on your rope, readjusting to what you needed. You shoot the coworker a shrug and an apologetic smile. Lowering the crate, you're able to let go of the rope and Sinbad jumped right on top of everything. He smiles down at you so wide you can't help but smile back and somehow his got grander.

Sinbad jumps down, landing beside you, his hands on his hips before saying, "Isn't this great! We're gonna be free on the sea! I can't wait! I hope there's some storms! I need an adventure!"

"Uh, maybe not a storm..." you say, leaning away from him.

"Oh, don't worry, fiance~ I'll be able to protect us! I am the High King of the Seven Seas!" he brags to you, wrapping your shoulders with one strong arm.

You blush, pushing him off, "Save it for Kou, Sinbad."

"Ah-ah-ah! No," the king says leaning down to your ear. "You are my fiance now that we've stepped onto the ship. If the crew were to think otherwise and the blab about it over drinks in Kou, then we'd be screwed, right?"

You scoff, tossing his arm off you once again and crossing your arms. Now Sinbad was back into his prowling pervert state. Maybe it was the prospect of this adventure that got his blood pumping to the wrong places.

"You shouldn't be treating me like this still. It's an engagement, not a marriage. I still have to be pure and all that royalty, nobleman bullshit." you wave him off.

"Oh, so you're not a virgin?" he asks, blinking.

"Where in the hell did you get that!?" you shriek, face red and fists ready to punch the old man.

"You said it was bullshit to be pure before marriage-" he began.

"That's not what I meant by saying that. I meant you have to treat me with respect- unlike normal, old man." you stick your tongue at him.

Sinbad raises an eyebrow, crossing his arms before humming, "Next time do that when there're less people around- I'll show the only reason your tongue should leave your mouth when I'm nearby."

You squeak, yelling, "Y-you- you pervert old man! Stay away from me!"

Then you ran to look for Ama or Ja'far. You found Ja'far first, going over a checklist and you attach yourself to the sleeve of his arm. He just looks at you then looks around for, most likely the king, to assess the situation you got yourself in this time. But, Sinbad didn't tail you like usual- he's just jumping and running around the ship again.

"Is he back at it?" Ja'far asks, returning to his checklist.

"Do I really have to pretend to be his fiance so soon?" you reply, and Ja'far sighs, offering a slanted, half hearted smile.

"It really is for the better, (Y/n). Just pretend to tolerate him on the boat, at the very least. Once we reach Kou, though, you can't hold on to me, or Ama, only Sinbad. People will find it weird that you would rather flank to us than your fiance."

"He's such a perverted old man though..."

"What he do this time?"

"... I don't want to repeat it."

Ja'far laughs, switching the clipboard to the arm you hung on so he could pat your head. He smiles at you and walks with you onto his next project. Being led now, you let your eyes stray to the many workings being done as the ship was almost ready to set off.

"Jaaaa'faaaar!" Sinbad calls, jumping from the steering deck in front of you two. "We're almost ready to go on my end! How about you?"

Ja'far looked at his clipboard once more, allowing you to stare at the king a little. His hair was unkempt in his ponytail with all the running around he's done. The king's skin was also shining from a light sweat and he was just a little out of breath, his large chest puffing out with each inhale, drawing your attention.

You blush as your mind wonders what he'd look like as Focalor right now...

"(Y/n)?" you're woken up from your imagining by Ja'far.

"Huh?" you say, blushing and looking around, but not missing the king's droopy eyed, cocky smirk which made you glare. "What did you say Ja'far?"

"I asked if you and Ama would like to come up to the steering deck while we take off. This way we can wave goodbye to the other generals and your friends." he repeated for you, also not missing you staring at the king.

"Oh, yeah, yeah! Of course." you say smiling and sweat dropping. "Where is Ama?"

The king perks at this, smiling and shouting, "I'll find him! See you on deck!" before he bounds up a few crates, looks around, and then jumps down the other side.

"(Y/n), please don't lose your head now." Ja'far says, his face worried, and his voice wavering.

You wave your hands, trying to assure him as you open your mouth and say, "Don't worry Ja'far, please! I was only wondering how he'd look as Focalor in that state-"

Wow you just ran your mouth and you and Ja'far both blush and look the other way. You rub the back of your neck, looking to the wooden floorboards. Ja'far toys with the strings of his household vessel. Slowly, you meet eyes again.

"You will never tell anyone I admitted that." you say in a threatening voice.

Ja'far sweatdrops, now waving his arms as he replies, "Of course not (Y/n)! Never! If the king heard, it would be so much harder for you to avoid him. His ego would inflate so much, he'd block out the sun."

You giggle at this, and Ja'far laughs too. The two of you then walk up to the steering deck, walking to the railing closest to the dock. Down below, many people were stacked to see their king off. This includes five of the eight generals, and the two of your friends who weren't following you on this journey. You wave down to them and Ulric points for Sana to see. When she does, she jumps up and down waving back, while Ulric just shields his eyes from the sun.

Ama appears beside you and you smile at him, pointing to your friends. He waves at them, too, smiling calmly. Sinbad moves to make space between you and Ja'far, and at the sight of him, everyone screams and cheers. You can't help but to look at him again.

He's smiling down at everyone, waving, looking not over the crowd like most would, but making a point to see people's faces. He nods when he looks to the generals and your friends, and his smile is genuine. You can't help but to smile yourself as you lean against the railing, looking at the people too.

Sinbad's arm snakes around your waist, pulling you close to his side, and you don't fight him on it. You're too distracted by the joy of the people to care. Hell, you even lean against him a little, feeling his sides expand with each breath his lungs drew.

Down below you, you saw what you could do as a king, and how bad you wanted it.
