"Manik ne bola?" she asked timdly
"Haan uss ne hi bola" her mother in law said and she looked at the her and then at her brother in law, her husband's best friend, who nodded a yes with full confidence.

"Nandini ne bola?" he asked and looked at his mother
"Haan" his mother said innocently
"Nahi Maa... Nandini aisa nahi..." he looked at his best friend who was looking at him
"Cabir" he said breaking his best friend's stare
"Nandini ne sach mein yeh bol?" he asked seriously and Cabir felt very concious
"Haan... Bhabhi ne khud bola... Mere samne bola... Apne muh se bola..." Cabir said and Neyonika glared at him making him shut his mouth
"Agar Nandini yeh chahti hai toh thik hai..." he said taking the papers from Neyonika
He removed pen from his jacket inner pocket and opened it. He pointed the nip on the paper. His eyes went to the paper's title 'Divorce Papers' and he felt something hollow in his stomach. His heart beated fast. He gulped and sweat broke on his forehead.
Cabir had never seen Manik like this ever. He was amused and enchanted with this situation
"Manik" he called making Manik look at him.
Manik looked at him clueless still holding the pen but not signing
"Tera phone baj raha hai" Cabir said
"Haan?" Manik felt his phone buzzed. "Haan" he said and picked up the phone
"Sir aap ka lunch aa gaya hai..." his PA said and Manik looked at his mother, his brother and the papers
"Haan... Haan Pratik tum... tum baitho unhe... I'll be right there" Manik said and hung up
"Woh Australian clients... They are here..." he told his mother who nodded in understanding
"Yeh main apne pass rakhta hu... Aap ko baad...baad mein de dunga..." Manik said and took the papers with him and left.
"Maa yaar you said woh sign nahi karenge... Yeh toh paper leke chale gaye..." Cabir said
"Paper hi leke gaya hai Cabir... Sign nahi karega... Dekh lena" Neyonika said with a smirk

Same Night
Manik entered to his mother already waiting there
"Manik." she said with a smile making him stop
"Maa aap itne late Tak kya kar rahi hai yaha?" he said confused
"Late kaha bacche? Abhi toh sabka dinner hua... Aur Nandini bhi nahi aayi abhi tak" she told him
"Waise papers..." she asked and he looked at her frowning
"Kon se papers?" he asked not remembering
"Tere aur Nandini ke divorce papers beta. Tune sign nahi kiya kya?" she asked him
"Woh Maa... Haan I got busy. Office mein hi hai par woh" Manik said
"Accha koi nahi... Kal sign lar ke de dena mujhe" she said and turned to pick her phone "Vaise bhi kal subha guest aane wale hai toh mujhe abhi kitchen mein thoda kaam hai" she said
"Kon guest?" he asked curious and Vabir pase walked in with cake in his hand, eating it
"Shubra Aunty beta" Neyonika said turning back to Manik
