Manik entered the seminar hall with Cabir. Him and Cabir were so inseparable since their college days and now when they end up choosing same career paths they were more close in the group of five. His other friends were buliding their careers in other fields. He roamed his eyes around to see all the batches sitting there. There were wanna be heroines around whom harmonal boys were buzzing. Some students were having discussions and some were just gossiping. In all this Manik saw two girls in the back corner of the hall laughing at something. Both were in their own world. He and Cabir walked through the hall to go and sit besides them
"Ok answer this" one of the girl said as the other one was having Nutella and Go
"What question you can never answer as yes?" she asked
"Oh let me think" the one eating Nutella and Go said
"Stupid ones" she answered and laughed on her own joke
"Yeh woh hi hai na jisne tujhe raccoon bulaya tha?" Manik whispered to Cabir who glared back at him
"Nandini" Manik and the other girl said together. Manik's was a whisper the the girl's was a whin
"Yeh bore ho raha hai, guest nahi aaye aur tu mujhe questions kar rahi hai?" Nandini said a bit irritated and the other girl fell silent, she made a sad face as Cabir and Manik shared a look
"I told you she was rude" Cabir said to Manik
"Are you asleep?" Nandini said and kept her head on the other girl's shoulder eating her Nutella and Go
"No" the girl said looking at Nandini
"Stupid Sara, that's the answer to your question" Nandini said laughing as Sara made a bad face and Manik smiled looking at her
"Nandini, kitne baar bola hai no eating in audi" they heard Akhil sir as Nandini hid her Nutella and Go and made an innocent face, he was going to scold her further but the guest arrived so he was interrupted
Sometime into the session Nandini was yawning, Sara was chatting with her boyfriend Cabir was playing on his phone and Manik was trying hard not to sleep
"Bhai kisko leke aa gaye hai?" Manik whispered lowly
"I agree" Nandini turned and replied to him suddenly and then again turned her back to him
Actually the guest was an new actress, who had been a student of the institute. She wasn't talking about the technicalities of the profession but in general. Mostly, her aunty cum manager would answer the questions and the answers were vague
After the painful session they left the audi.
"Kuch bhi session tha" Nandini said removing her Nutella and Go and eating it as ManBhir followed the girls. Not with the intended but because they were going the same way
"Haan yaar, abhi ghar jate waqt bhaut bhid hogi" Sara said looking at her watch
"Chal kuch khate hai" Nandini said putting hand over Sara's shoulder and Cabir looked at her wide eyes
"Pet phat jana hai Nandu" Sara said eyeing her Nutella and Go
"Yeh munches hai, isse koi farak nahi padhta" Nandini said
"Law of Diminishing marginal utility" she added as Sara looked at her confused. Sara was an engineering student and here to learn cinematography, she and Nandini clicked instantly because of their same taste in Books and because they were the only girls in their batch who could have conversation other than boys, sex, musically, dubsmash, photo filters. Nandini was one who did not believe in stereotyping but being a part of a film school she realised that every stereotypes are based on some facts obviously they are not always true... Like Sara was also from a small town but unlike her other batch mate she was not excited about having sex with the hottest male actor of the school or go clubbing and get wasted... The majority of people here were not focused and that's what made Nandini know why majority can't achive more in the industry, because they dedicated their energy on everything but the thing they were suppose to do
